Thread on the current status of the war. I wrote about the battle for the Donbas in April, and I think it still applies. The war is now primarily about sustainability and relative losses, which is how we should view Russia's successes in Luhansk. www

Thread on the current status of the war. There are 4 areas/cities to watch over the next 1-2 weeks: -Mikolaiv -Mariupol -Joint Forces Operation area -Kyiv Russian forces are having some successes pushing against JFO but less against Kyiv and Mikolaiv

A Russian Channel complained about the poor state of equipment and tanks in a Russian tank battalion (2nd Motorized Rifle Division). He says the tank’s engine doesn’t start, the gun can’t be loaded, and the operation of its systems can’t be checked.

Graphs from the Russian Lost Armour site on DNR losses from the war. According to their data, DNR forces have sustained 2057 KIA and 8526 WIA for a total of 10,583 casualties. The losses were the heaviest from late March-late April. t.me/lostarmour/4
