A Russian Channel complained about the poor state of equipment and tanks in a Russian tank battalion (2nd Motorized Rifle Division). He says the tank’s engine doesn’t start, the gun can’t be loaded, and the operation of its systems can’t be checked.

The 2nd MRD has been training/reconstituting in Belarus, which is where this battalion might be. The source says there are no spare parts, and this has been going on for a month. He says it isn't clear how many of the battalion's tanks would be capable of combat operations. 2/
There are no specialists and no one, aside from the one officer, is trying to fix the situation, even though a general from Moscow came for an inspection. He says there are tanks that can drive but can't shoot but are considered combat ready. 3/

He also ID'd the battalion commander as Major Rasim Kh who was captured in February 2022 before being exchanged. It seems they're referring to then Captain Rasim Tagiev. The GUR has him listed as the then CoS of the 2nd BTG. 4/

The channel claims he was a company commander who was then promoted to battalion CoS before taking command of the battalion. It claims he drinks and has set fire to the battalion HQ twice, isn't respected by the officers or soldiers, and is rude to his subordinates. 5/
This included cursing out a mobilized soldier (who previously served in a spetsnaz unit and had combat experience but was sent to a tank unit) in public. He said the battalion aid station is just on paper and there are no doctors, and that they are supposed to deploy soon. 6/
He says all of the documents show the unit is ready to be deployed even though it is a lie. He notes that this unit performed poorly in February in Kharkiv and would likely fare even worse now given the lack of training/preparation. (h/t @Mortis_Banned) 7/
This is obviously just one anecdote, but if it is accurate and representative of the status of the new units Russia has formed/reformed in Belarus, they may not pose that much of an offensive threat. 8/
