Excellent thread to the extent I could follow it. Can’t wait for @matt_levine to ELI5. I rarely look at corp balance sheets. At most I look at P/L. If the balance sheet is too “interesting” the company is not in the stated business but in the financial engineering business.

Nice thread. For a brief period in grad school I was nerdsniped by Brouwer intuitionism and wanted to dive deep, but then realized it’s sort of a lifetime deep dive sorta thing.

This is an excellent article. Didn’t have an opinion before but now I think HSR is bullshit. Because physics. By similar analysis, I think hyperloops are bs as well though perhaps slightly less so because the load wear aspect is missing.

I recommend watching Royal Pains, the show about concierge doctors. A decade old but good.
