I have recommended this outstanding book before. It pits the instinctive against the intellectual, the simpleton (brilliant at times) against the over-thinker. Zorba reminds us how to live fully, love lasciviously, and appreciate life.

This is a wonderful and short book. It found me at exactly the right time, and I read it in two afternoons. Here is my favorite tracker maxim from its pages, from Renias Mhlongo: “I don’t know where we are going, but I know exactly how to get there.”

I’ve watched the below video dozens of times on YouTube during rough periods. Whitney Cummings (@WhitneyCummings) and I both love @neilhimself's “Make Good Art” commencement speech, which he gave at Philadelphia’s University of the Arts. Our mutual favorite portion is “The moment that you feel that, just possibly, you’re walking down the street naked, exposing too much of your heart and your mind and what exists on the inside, showing too much of yourself. That’s the moment you may be starting to get it right.”

I have read this book many times. It’s a wonderful and short reboot for possibility, excellent for all students of life and those who want to overcome self-imposed limitations.

This short book has completely captured me. It was first recommended by @PeterMallouk, who said it gave him peace for weeks at a time. I grabbed the Kindle version with low expectations, devoured it in three days, and I’ve since bought 60+ copies of the paperback to give out to friends. It found me at the right time and won’t resonate with everyone, but it has equally impressed several of my best buddies.

Michael Gerber is a masterful storyteller and his classic of automation discusses how to use a franchise mind-set to create scalable businesses that are based on rules and not outstanding employees. It is an excellent roadmap—told in parable—for becoming an owner instead of constant micromanager. If you’re stuck in your own business, this book will get you unstuck in no time.

Starting in 2004, I traveled the world for roughly 18 months. The lessons learned formed the basis for much of The 4-Hour Workweek. On my journey—from the back alleys of Berlin to the hidden lakes of Patagonia—I had next to nothing: one suitcase, one backpack, and only two…

I bought this book at Kinokuniya bookstore in Shinjuku, Tokyo. It is as thick as a Harry Potter book, probably thicker, but the pages are as thin as onion skin. It’s a serious tome. I never expected to finish it, and I tore through it in less than two weeks. If you’re like me…

I constantly recommend that entrepreneurs read The 22 Immutable Laws of Marketing by Al Ries and Jack Trout, whether they are first-time founders or serial home-run hitters launching a new product. “The Law of the Category” is the chapter I revisit most often.

If I’ve learned anything, it is this: fame will not fix your problems. Instead, fame is likely to magnify all of your insecurities and exaggerate all of your fears. It’s like picking up a fire extinguisher for your pain that ends up being a canister of gasoline.  If you think…

Saga is a masterpiece! Highest recommendation and definitely NSFW. I couldn’t put this down and finished in two days. Deep bow and “More please!” to Brian K. Vaughan (@HeyBKV), Fiona Staples, and FONOGRAFIKS.

I highly recommend the MDMA-assisted therapy episode of How to Change Your Mind on @netflix with @michaelpollan. The doc “Trip of Compassion” is also good and contains actual session footage.
