has recently released some good analysis of that assault. Dangerous, costly and not worth the effort for Putin except out of political desperation.
A brilliant article by @EliotACohen about the war in Ukraine which asks all the right questions about why we institutionally and individually are having trouble admitting what is happening. Worth a close read.

This article is what makes @MarinaHyde so great. The first part is cutting and funny, then the last paragraph (see below) uses that derision to make the killer point about what all this means. She's funny and she's right.

Read this article, which tries to make a historical case for agreeing a semi permanent neutral position for Ukraine, using the example of Belgium as what can be achieved. Seems profoundly flawed on a number of levels.
