I've referred to myself as a 'Rational Optimist' (which I think implies the need for skepticism) since first reading @DavidDeutschOxf's "The Beginning of Infinity" which I've recently reread and recommend highly.

4/ If his thesis is confirmed through further research, lots of "truths" will need to be reexamined. In the meantime, the book is really a great read. He managed to make it fun, almost like a gripping mystery novel. I highly recommend the book.
