"“Wokeness”...treats political action as inherently a matter of personal moral hygiene - woke isn’t something you do, it’s something you are." This essay made me realize that "woke" is a more interesting concept than I had thought it was.

Wonderful new movie abt how-- abstract spoilers ahead --the "right to be left alone" is not what it appears to be --the cause of war is love gone wrong: all war is war agst kin --your kin can't protect you from the terror of being utterly forgotten & that's why love goes wrong

This paper is the best I’ve found

This paper is a really thoughtful inquiry into (what I think of as) the central problem for longtermism: deep uncertainty (aka "cluelessness"). It's a bit technical--might be a tough read for the uninitiated--so let me highlight two points from it-- 1/2
