We are in the midst of a tectonic change in creative software.

AI will forever change how we tell stories.

There are a few things I like to keep in mind to navigate what’s coming.
1) New interfaces will need to be invented. Adapting existing UX/UI paradigms will not be enough to have controllable and expressive tools with AI.

2) Inventing net new tools, research, and long term products take time and patience. A lot of things need to be explored and tinkered with. But things are accelerating exponentially.

3) Natural language will become a central component in every workflow. Main effect will be accessibility and democratization of complex workflows: just write what you need.

4) Models will become (are becoming) commodities. Value will be derived from building useful products and opening new markets that leapfrog incumbents.
5) A new generation of storytellers will emerge. A new type of filmmakers will be born. You will be in every film you want. You will be able to generate every story you want. The same powers Weta & ILM have will be accessible to everyone with a browser. Build for them.
