Definitely related--and one of my favourite papers ever. But you all look at future vs. past and I'm interested, now, in close past vs. distant past

Finished #Blackbird last night. Not a perfect show--I thought some of the flashbacks were cheesy--but really gripping, with some wonderful scenes. Most of all, Paul Walker Hauser, who plays a serial killer, gives one of the best performances I've seen in my life.

An excellent discussion of effective altruism, kindness, and the pros and cons of longtermism.

Good discussion by @conspiracism of the debate within philosophy over whether there is something inherently wrong—"epistemologically problematic"—about holding a conspiracy theory. (he says no, and I agree, but nice to see arguments on the other side.)

This is wonderful. @davenuss79 has done so much to help psychologists share their discoveries and ideas with the public--and @PsychgeistMedia will be a great resource, particularly for young scientists wanting to get started at this sort of public communication.
