Yes, great article. Thanks for sharing Kale.
Picked up this copy of Moby Dick to read during Lent, and found this sticker on the inside—which reminds me of a great essay by @joeljmiller:
This article by @tylercowen on higher education is the best I’ve read in a long time:
A fantastic essay by Alan Jacobs
“Men become gods in the eyes of each other” Great work by @g_shullenberger giving an overview of the work of René Girard.
Great piece Katherine
Probably both. Reminds me of the third section of an excellent article @cribbenMerrill wrote imagining an author trying to reverse-engineer Girard’s theory to write a great novel. It seems as if a writer on the show made this unfortunate mistake.
George Holtz speaking to @lexfridman. “If the history of AI has taught us anything, it’s that feature-engineering approaches will always be replaced by and lose to end-to-end learning.” Excellent essay by @justindeanlee
Great article by @nytdavidbrooks connecting the Beatles rise to fame with the work of @CassSunstein and René Girard:
A friendly reminder that in 1986, California’s forced a governmental task force on self-esteem. It took them about a year to come up with a definition. Excellent review of @jessesingal’s book by @akheriaty
Excellent essay by @halemur on @veryharryhill "Hill owns his thirst." Yes—in part because he understands mimetic desire.
Hey @ritholtz, I recommend this piece by @aaronvalue —and I'd be glad to answer any questions via email.
