I discovered a physician YouTuber @NinjaNerdSci who makes videos for medical students. A bit advanced as you might expect, but the presentation and information density is fantastic! I just finished watching the entire cardiovascular series:
You should read Fooled by Randomness from Taleb. There’s an entire chapter dedicated to this attitude.
Excellent post by @chr_iswong. Doing something meaningful implies giving up some optionality. Settling down, starting a family, creating memories, adding beauty to your surroundings, etc — all reduce optionality, but all worth doing.
I highly recommended Unconditional Parenting by Alfie Kohn. Very eye opening. Punished by Rewards by the same author is by good too (and not relevant to just parenting).
