The story is shocking and mind blowing. One of the largest scale and longest sieges in world history. I hope one day it's turned into a movie or mini series.

Her book, "In order to live", is exceptional. By learning what North Korean life really is like, it gave me a renewed appreciation for the liberties I enjoy every day. Also Yeonmi's inner strength is mighty inspirational.

Great piece by @allenf32, who argues that Silicon Valley doesn't "get" bitcoin because it is itself the nexus of fiat culture, with a myopic focus on 1) yield chasing, 2) dematerialization, and 3) monopolization of access.
For a much shorter introduction, I'd recommend this little book:
