Supply kills value. The number of places to acquire news for free is, well, big. What is scarce are analysis, good writing, humor and entertainment.

I like a good story. Here's a good one from Tom Alberg's book Flywheels: [link] I received one of these "free-for-life" phone numbers. Back in the day, the prestige phone numbers had a lot of zeros in them, most notably ending in 00.

2/ Again, this report is quite interesting to read and represents a lot of work. What Goldman says about the present and past are the most valuable parts since they are not a forecast. But as for the forecasts, even if they are sort of probability framed, not so much. The past:

Expectations Investing wasn't written for exceptional traders like David Tepper. AltaFox and you could be among the few people who can do what Tepper does. The book was written for people who who invest by valuing stocks and aren't among the tiny number of successful traders.

Excellent thread from Josh. Watson won't make the transition to the metaverse since it is too busy playing Jeopardy. It will not disappear entirely, but instead will be suspended in time as a reminder to PR teams everywhere of what not to do (ie, anti-role model).
