Last year I read The Stranger in the Woods. It's about a guy who lived as a hermit in the woods in Maine for over 20 years. It was interesting reading about his general outlook on life, feeling out of place in society, and how oddly relatable it was at times.

The Perfect Storm by Sebastian Junger is a great one in terms of real survival stories. Also has a lot of cool stuff about ships and fishing 👍

The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks is a good one! 50/50 biography of Henrietta Lacks + her family & the history of human cell cultures and how it impacted medical science

Crying in H-Mart by Michelle Zauner! It's a memoir about her strained but beautiful relationship with her mother, coming to terms with her Korean-American identity, and the birth of her music career as Japanese Breakfast! it honestly had me sobbing, it's so good

Mineko Iwasaki's Life of a Geisha is one of my favorite books. Very fascinating.
