Absolutely LOVED @gladwell Malcolm Gladwell’s #Outliers genuinely mind-blowing. Used it in my teaching practice to make Yr10 & 11s understand they could do anything they set their minds to & that they are more than a number. Have inhaled all of his books, they are all wonderful!
Really essential reading for any dog owner!
It’s a great book, I loved it, too 🫶
Each book reads like a series of deep wow WTF moments. It’s incredibly moving to me to have insight into our origins and nature like this. Master & His Emissary (Audible as it’s 25 hours long!): [link] Vital Q (physical book):
This was one of the books that truly made me fall more in love with science.
Also Travellers in the Third Reich by Julia Boyd, read it three times now & it still astounds me every time.
Hard agree with this, such a fantastic piece of work from Hallie Rubenhold.
Collapse by Jared Diamond. Incredible book.
Blood in The Water by @hthompsn Was a devastating but important read.
David Simon. The Corner. Probably the best book I’ve ever read. Cried a lot for these families.
Braiding Sweetgrass by Robin Wall Kimmerer This book changed my perspective on the world in so many ways. It's an absolute must read for anyone who is a scientist, environmentally conscious, or even just curious about these things. (I don't think she's on Twitter)
The world in a grain by @VinceBeiser. Highly recommended. Very well-written and thought-provoking read.
