yesterday I started and finished Kiss Her Once for Me, by Alison Cochrun I feel like it might be better if you don’t know the full premise but it is a Christmas-themed F/F romance that involves a fake dating plot, though the fake dating is not with the love interest! I loved it

Just finished the children of gods and fighting men by Shauna loveless and really enjoyed it. It’s a historical fantasy set in Ireland in 990 ad, so you have a good mix of Irish kings, Vikings, and Irish folklore gods thrown in the mix.

"Stories of your life" by Ted Chiang, collection of scifi short stories. one of them (story of your life) was adapted as the movie "arrival", my favourite is "hell is the absence of god"

"Survival of the Richest" by Douglas Rushkoff. Incredibly incisive and insightful analysis of what Rushkoff calls "the Mindset," this idea among tech ideologues that human beings are a problem to be "fixed" by technology, which explains their clamoring for an escape from reality
