Thread
You can reach an elite level of programming, but if you don't master communication, you'll never join the 1%.

Here are 3 basic principles of communication to take your career to the next level:
1. Ethos - before speaking, there is character.

Which characteristics do you radiate?

Intelligence, trustworthiness, and morals are great characteristics that will encourage people to listen to you.
2. Pathos - emotions and motivations.

Understand and deeply connect to the person in front of you. What are they feeling? What do they need?

Listen and connect.
3. Logos - logic and reason.

This is the actual content of what you have to say, and it comes LAST, because it is often the least important.

When making a statement, back it up with reasoning and data. This will 10x what you want to communicate.
To summarize:

1. Build your character in a way you'd like to be seen.

2. Read people and listen in order to connect emotionally.

3. Finally, make the point you want to make and back it up with logic and data.
That's a wrap!
