An interesting company to follow is JAB Holdings.

It's a hold-co on steroids & went from 100M of managed capital in 1981 to 50 Billion today.

JAB has been led since 1981 by Peter Harf

Peter has purchased many companys that you know such as Peet's Coffee and Dr. Pepper.

I find JAB interesting b/c of JCP (Jab Capital Partners)

Picture your holding company and you pair it with a co-investment vehicle. Jab Holdings is a long term holding company with evergreen capital.

Jab Holdings + JCP = JAB

To connect it to the SMB world, I think Girdley should do this

Girdley Holdings + GCP = GAB

I can see GAB being a 50 Billion dollar company one day.

Just a quick thought ...I'm sure he has thought of this :)

That's a wrap on JAB Holdings

If you want to create a 1 -100 billion dollar company. A path could be to do a secondary after the first recap and transition to this structure.

I'm not the biggest fan of having to sell a good asset after 5 years so I like this.
