Pollen Mobile was mentioned by @gregisenberg and @SahilBloom on the Where it Happens podcast

They sparked my curiosity, and I decided to jump in and see what it was!

Pollen is a private, anonymous, and decentralized global wireless communications network that is built, owned, and operated by its users.
The users can act as a:
1.Flower 🌷
2.Bumblebee🐝
3.Hummingbird 🐦

1) Flower (Network Providers): Flowers provide wireless coverage and earn their owners PCN, Pollen’s Solana token, in return for the coverage provided and data hauled for end users.

Cost: $999 - $10,399

2) Bumblebees (Validators): Bumblebees validate network coverage by reporting Pollen network coverage statistics as they move through the physical world.

Cost: $299

3) Hummingbirds (End Users): Hummingbirds are end-user equipment, such as mobile phones, utilizing the Pollen network for mobile connectivity. On Phase I, the user will have unlimited data consumption at no charge beyond the cost of the eSIM.

Cost: $99

They are currently only available in the San Francisco Bay Area. I will be purchasing a Bumblebee to become part of the network and further dive deeper into this amazing technology.
