I’ve been to many conferences over the years - TED, Aspen, you name it.

Hereticon was hands down the best experience. It’s amazing how different things are when you have a self-selected group of interesting, resilient, impossible-to-offend thinkers and builders.

I’ve personally witnessed several well-known academics and journalist friends get accosted intrusively and yelled at for their views at other events. Over time the content also invariably got woke and became increasingly judgmental and gloomy about progress, humanity and tech.
Hereticon was truly different. It was like the early days of tech once again, and a harkening back to a time when people weren’t afraid of being bold and discussing ideas - to hell with optics.

My Twitter feed came alive and I finally could put a face on people who I’ve only
interacted with via bytes and pixels. Writers and journalists mixed with entrepreneurs and investors. Partnerships and projects (and friendships) will no doubt emerge.

Well done @micsolana and the @foundersfund team.
