If you’re voting in the SF School Board recall, remember that @AliMCollins cancelled only Lowell's magnet program as "elitist”

Of the 3 magnet schools in SF, Lowell is neither the wealthiest nor least diverse. That title belongs to SOTA, where @AliMCollins sends her own children
The primary difference between the three magnet programs—The Academy, Lowell, and SOTA—is that Lowell has more Asians enrolled.

Lowell is both more diverse and lower income than SOTA, which @AliMCollins conveniently left alone.
I joined the anti-recall webinar that @AliMCollins to hear their side:
She’s claiming that the recall against her is because of “anti-CRT” forces that are aligned with the “stop the steal” crowd.

Alison, your recall is supported by democratic supervisors, clubs, the Mayor, and a majority of your own district’s parents.
Alison claims “she has become a target” because of how progressive San Francisco is.

She’s a target of this recall because she sued her own district for $87M when she didn’t like the results of a vote.
Alison making an appeal for sympathy because she is a volunteer that’s “only paid $500 a month”.

That would be pretty tough, if she wasn’t paid as a consultant by the private equity fund her husband runs:

Alida Fisher claiming there are negative externalities for students bc of the recalls.

Where was Alida’s concern when judges found @AliMCollins and @lopez4schools in blatant violation of the Brown Act for destroying a magnet program?
LM Lovett claiming school district is underfunded.

Yes, ok. How does this have anything to do with the recall of @AliMCollins? She literally burned hundreds of thousands of the district’s dollars over frivolous lawsuits that were thrown out.
LM Lovett now making claim that recall is supported by BIG MONEY, the 1%…

…but @AliMCollins and the MC @BluebirdRave are both millionaires many times over from commercial real estate and tech wealth. They don’t even hide it.
Now LM Lovett making comparisons to GOP recall attempts in Arizona, the Dakotas, the Carolinas…

The recall against @AliMCollins is not that. It’s supported by a majority of voters in a majority democratic city.
Cari Cymanski claiming that recallers “want to get away from desegregation” and “addressing racism”.

I’m truly speechless at this point. Are they all this deep in the koolaid?
Cari now claiming that teachers are getting gentrified and not representative of the students.

I mean, ok. Sounds like a complex problem.

Again, none of these things have to do with the recall.
But also LOL—Cari, you know Alison and her husband are like 100x wealthier than any teacher will ever be right? Am I taking crazy pills? www.sfchronicle.com/local/article/Alison-Collins-and-her-husband-illegally-merged-16121805.php
Now recall candidate @lopez4schools is speaking, claiming how important public schools are for immigrants.

Absolutely. I was an immigrant on discount lunch. Which is why she is a recall candidate for running the district budget so poorly the state had to threaten to step in.
Gabriela Lopez says money shouldn’t lead the school board.

Great! So why did you invite a tech gajillionaire @bluebirdrave to MC the event?

Amazingly not The Onion: @DeanPreston is here to talk about “the real estate money” behind the recall.
For those just joining the clown car ride of SF politics, @DeanPreston is a real estate millionaire city supervisor who’s MO is blocking housing he thinks is ugly: www.sfchronicle.com/sf/article/Why-did-S-F-supervisors-vote-against-a-project-16569809.php
Now @DeanPreston claiming the recalls are a conspiracy for the mayor to appoint Board Members.

Bruh, we’re literally trying to recall an appointed board member: @FaauugaMoliga
Now @DeanPreston is claiming recalls are a conservative effort against morally clean members.

I don’t have enough characters in this tweet, but @AliMCollins has been: racist ranting in public; found in violation of Brown Act; charged by the city for tax evasion; had frivolous la
Now @DeanPreston claiming Mayor Breed is supporting the recall bc she’s in the pocket of billionaires*

*different billionaires than Dean’s in the pocket of

Ok now we doing a chant to get ourselves amped up.

“Vote No on ABC if you care about democracy"

Did they all miss the part that @AliMCollins tried to take like 2/3 of the district’s money because she lost a vote lmao sfchronicle.com/bayarea/article/Alison-Collins-87-million-lawsuit-against-16390572.php
Two years ago I sat in on an antivax meeting.

This school board meeting had the exact same pattern:

1) make straw but true claim (“schools are underfunded!”)

2) make fallacious association (“they want to recall X because she’s fighting #1!”)

3) do a chant

Anyways I’m just a shit poster.

If you live in SF do your public duty and vote! And if you think the above has all been batshit crazy, vote along w exhausted parents “yes” on Prop A, B, and C.
Also, non-citizen SF residents can vote in this election. Tell your friends!

My parents were constantly being talked down to when I was a kid, as I imagine many parents of Lowell students are by people like @AliMCollins—now many of those parents will be able to vote.
