Four physicists describe the initial vision for the new Dr. Allen and Charlotte Ginsburg Center for Quantum Precision Measurement at Caltech. It will be a hub for researchers focused on precision measurement that makes use of quantum techniques. Its interaction spaces and its state-of-the art Kip Thorne Laboratories, funded and named by the Sherman Fairchild Foundation, will advance quantum sensing, gravitational-wave detection, and quantum information science.
