Populism is not a dirty word.
The media tells you that it is, because their job always and everywhere is to dutifully carry water for, and to legitimize, The Regime.
Let's get this straight:

-"Democracy is incessantly under attack, and ensuring every single person in America's voice is heard is an existential crisis rn."

and also:

-"Populism is bad: it appeals to lowest common voter, fires up the low life's of our society, & is dangerous."
Which one is it? Are we only as good as our democracy allows, factoring in each voice equally & without prejudice to ensure the will of the people is heard, represented & respected?

Or is the common man stupid? Not worthy to be heard? And when organized together quite dangerous?
The Regime - the Permanent Political Class of politicians, bankers, contractors, corporatist insiders etc - have repeatedly failed us for 50+ years.

Unprecedented amounts of money is spent while the middle class continues to shrink, & the Regime class just keeps getting richer…
Failing the country and breaking our system, perhaps irreparably, while simultaneously rigging it so that somehow they all have multiple vacation homes and 8-digit new worths…

All while earning meager bureaucratic salaries as lifelong "civil servants."
Your favorite "socialist" candidate on the Left dropped millionaires from his millionaires & billionaires" rally cry once he reached that tax bracket and purchased his third vacation home.

Compare 2016 and 2020, and you'll notice.
But Bernie is actually prob one of the Top 10 elected officials.

He speaks to many on the left; gets the disillusioned and downtrodden energized politically; & decries the system that systemically favors some (insiders) vs the majority (bottom 90%)

Sounds kinda like "populism"?
"Sometimes it seems that everybody in the world is in favor of democracy, just as long as it gives them the result they want." - Jack Lessenberry
"Democracy is our most sacred institution" we've been told incessantly since 2016 as they force fed a completely manufactured narrative into the populace that "Russia hacked our election."

A blatant attempt to entrap and remove the man who was … democratically elected as POTUS.
"Democracy is under attack!"

But surely not by the Regime who in perfect coordination did everything they could to lie, manipulate & depress support for Ron Paul in 2012, & also for Bernie Sanders in 2016 and 2020, to ensure their "approved" candidate made it through to the end.
"Democracy is so great and holy!"

Unless all of the sudden those at the lower rungs of society activate, organize and coalesce towards a candidate that threatens the entrenched establishment of corporatist profiteers in a bipartisan manner.
The turning point is when the disaffected on both the Right & the Left realize that they, despite social issues being weaponized culturally in order to create conflict between them, share a common, noble goal when it comes down to the most important issue:

Entrenched Oligopoly.
