Thread
10 years ago I was a broke cocaine addict.

Now I'm clean and built a $6,000,000 coaching business.

Read this if you want to transform your own life:
How my story started:

I got kicked out of my house when I was 8.

I went to live with my auntie who wound up raising me.

She told me right when I moved in:

“You can do anything you want in this house as long as you’re honest with me - except drugs.”
So I always had this mantra of “don’t do drugs” playing in my head.

But then...

I started bartending at night clubs when I was 19.

Drugs were always around.

My friends were always doing them.

But one day when I was super intoxicated…
I tried cocaine for the first time.

I felt like I was Superman.

So I kept doing it.

Once a week.

Twice a week.

Suddenly I was using it every day.

I honestly didn’t even realize how fast it happened.
This started my life spiraling out of control.

I got fired from 2 jobs.

I stole my best friend’s girl.

All my friends left me.

My car got repossessed.

I was kicked out of my house.

I finally reached rock bottom.
My friends tried to help me with my addiction.

But I just got pissed at them when they offered to help.

They stopped talking to me.

I quickly found myself alone because I pushed everyone away.

My life finally turned around when one day...
I called my girlfriend who would get high with me every day.

“You’re fucked up” she said.

And I knew how fucked up she always was.

So it made me think...

“Yo, I must be REALLY fucked up.”

I came home from the club that night to a surprise…
It was 3am.

I was high as fuck.

My grandma was waiting on the couch.

When she looked at me, I burst into tears.

I didn’t have the words to say anything.

I just collapsed on the couch.

And she did something that night I never forgot:
She read her Bible to me.

She showed me unconditional love.

She was why I decided to change my life.

I felt like everyone abandoned me except her.

I knew I had 2 choices:

1) Keep doing drugs and be a loser forever
2) Get my shit together and save myself

So...
I quit drugs cold turkey.

It was one of the hardest things I've done.

After I quit, my friends would call and be like:

“Hey man, you okay? Wanna come drink to get over it?”

I had to say no.

I knew where that path would lead.

When I stopped partying, they stopped calling.
But that was okay.

I realized I had to change my environment to change my life.

So I got a job as a cleaner at a summer camp.

And that’s when I really started turning my life around...
I started going for runs around a lake every morning.

At first it was fucking horrible.

I could barely run a few meters.

All I could smell was cocaine.

But I had made a promise to myself.
It felt like everyone (but my grandma) thought I was:

• A loser
• A failure
• A drug addict

So I told myself:

“I’m gonna execute this 1 thing to the best of my ability every day.”

I literally had nothing else but running.
I pushed myself further every time I ran.

1 kilometer turned into 2.

2 kilometers turned into 3.

By the end of the summer, I was running 7.5km in 25 minutes.
That was what started turning everything else around.

I realized I can change anything in my life if I commit 100%.

I began applying it to other areas of my life:

• Life
• Business
• Relationships

So if you need to make a change, here are the 3 biggest lessons I learned:
1) Isolate yourself

Cut off anything that encourages you to be a worse version of yourself.

Pessimistic friends.

Tempting situations.

Negative environments.

It hurts to cut things out.

Staying the same hurts way more.
2) Find something physical to progress in

Commit to 1 activity you can improve at.

Do it every day and track your progress.

This will skyrocket your health, confidence, and discipline in all other areas of life.
3) Create a vision for your future

Don't set weak broad goals.

Get super fucking specific:

Where do you want to live?

How big of a house do you want?

What kind of friend group do you want?

How much money do you want to be making?

Visualize it and work toward it EVERY day.
Our stories won't be the same.

Maybe you’re broke.

Maybe you’re depressed.

Maybe you’re overweight.

But no matter where you're coming from...

These lessons will help you get where you want to go.

Thank you for reading.
