Thread
We’re going through a bearish moment in the NFT market.

But that doesn’t mean you can’t make gains.

The attention cycle will inevitably pump another project.

If you can recognise the patterns in this cycle, you can be in the 1% making gains in NFTs right now.
🧵👇
Before getting into it, this thread isn’t FUD to any project.

It’s about timing the attention cycle and asking the question:

“How long do early NFT pumps last?”

Let's get into it.

🧵 (1/14)
Okay so let’s start with Nakamigos.

Naka pumped for 18 days straight once it caught fire.

Up 3,300% from 0.025 ETH.

And if you recognised this halfway through and bought in,

You would have made 0.45 ETH (+112%) in 9 days.

🧵 (2/14)
Next up, we’ve got one that most people forget is an NFT project,

But has recently come back into the news cycle with an upcoming drop…

🧵 (3/14)
Trump Cards.

The Trump Pump was one of the longest pumps,

Lasting 26 days, and increasing 312%.

If you were late to this pump and jumped in halfway through,

You would have still made 0.28 ETH (+73%) in 13 days.

🧵 (4/14)
Finally, we’ve gotta give a throwback to one of the biggest bear market pumps in the space…

That came at a time when everyone was saying “NFTs are dead”

🧵 (5/14)
Goblintown - The OG bear market pump

Goblintown pumped from a free mint, entering the secondary market at 0.04 ETH,

To 7.35 ETH in 12 days (+18,275%)

If you jumped in halfway through the pump, you still would have made 6 ETH (+370%) in 6 days.

🧵 (6/14)
Okay so what can we take from this?

🧵 (7/14)
Firstly, the risks of getting dumped on dramatically increase once you enter week #2.

There haven’t been many examples of projects that pump infinitely,

So if you’re getting in on week 2,

You could be playing with fire.

🧵 (8/14)
But! That doesn’t mean you can’t trade the market.

If a project has captured the attention of the ENTIRE market…

🧵 (9/14)
There are opportunities to leverage it if you are getting in on day 7 or less.

Whilst I was looking back and researching early hype projects,

It was clear that almost every major hype project (except Art Gobblers) pumped for at least a week.

🧵 (10/14)
So how should you play this?

1. If you’re buying into hype, always have an exit strategy before you get in.

Don’t hold longer than 1 week.

🧵 (11/14)
2. If you believe in a project longterm, but it’s already got the hype, wait for at least 4 weeks and then get in.

That way, you’ll avoid getting left holding the bag.

🧵 (12/14)
The more you look at early stage pump projects,

The more you continue to see these patterns.

This weekend, take a moment to evaluate projects through this strategy,

And create your own entry and exit points for the next pump cycle.

Good luck 🍀
