Some web3 games are walking dead and don't even know it 🧟

But smart partnerships and high-quality creators can breathe new life into zombified communities...

Let's see how @UndeadBlocks are killing it 🧡
The @UndeadBlocks team took on the usual User Acquisition obstacles Web3 games face:

- attract passionate gamers
- reward community of holders
- get in-game assets into the right hands

How?

By creating win-wins for content creators, partner brands, & their community itself 🀝
95% of web3 projects drop the ball and work with sub-par creators.

UB, however, attracted relevant 'leads' (and 100K+ desktop downloads!) by working with top-notch web3 creators πŸ†

Just to name a few.
It's simple.

Games are always better off working with multiple creators to do something exciting and 'natural' to gamers: game.

So, being an FPS zombie shooter, their game mode lent itself very well to sponsored tournaments. βš”οΈ

In July '22 the first tournament took place.
Let's sync up the tournament date with our @HelikaAnalytics data.

The impact that player-centric events like this have on user acquisition is obvious πŸ’―

UB didn't have to reinvent the wheel:

This is an esports classic and we see @DEADROP using a similar approach today.
These tournaments are sponsored by Web3 brands offering handsome prize pools to get in front of their target audience.

Again, win-win.

@PolkastarterGG
@Immutable
@cmtopdog
@AWC_TheClub

Relevant brands with @UndeadBlocks's target audience.

Smart.
61K total streams isn't much in legacy gaming, but it's impressive for a web3 game in a rough bear market.

So what do the metrics say?

Every uptick in the visual below matches one of the UB tournaments. πŸ“ˆ

Churned: sold
New: buys into project
Returned: sold but bought back in
How does the community respond to these events?

In terms of holder retention the project continues to do well.

50% is decent.
80% is excellent.

92% of OG holders still held their NFT 12 months in.
76% of those that bought in July still hold today.

Very bullish πŸ‚
The lesson for other projects?

Improve creator and/or ambassador programs and re-think how to build communities.

Shilled posts and reviews aren't going to cut it.

Short-term? Sure.

Long-term? No way.

You only go as far as your community lets you. πŸ”‘
