Can anyone recommend (deep breath) a good, critical, introductory reading on Art + AI ?
Hi tweeps, I'm prepping for my intro class. Can anyone recommend (deep breath) a good, critical, introductory reading on Art + AI ?

Sofian Audry's "Art in the Age of Machine Learning" is great - not sure if you would want to do excerpts from that, but I think its accessible and on point. Dejan Grba's "Deep Else: A Critical Framework for AI Art" is excellent too.

馃檹 Nathan @golan And there are loads of further readings in the bibliography. Would also recommend Dejan Grba's 'Deep Else' and his other recent AI Art essays.

A relatively short article. Kugel discusses the subject of the human's trial/error thinking practice while making art and asks, "Can artificial intelligence machines be developed?"
