A mindset where regardless of what you do for a living...

You approach your work like a true performer.

In the end, by optimizing for what you are great at, no one can compete against you.

Question Yourself

Ask yourself: "What do I truly want?"

Make a list of 10-15 items.

Most of these are responses that society has conditioned you into.

Question what you actually enjoy.

Fearlessly write down your craziest ideas to understand your true north star.

Stack Skills

Ask yourself: "What daily, repeated practice will get me to my goals?"

Skills enable growth:

• Write email copy daily → Build out an agency
• Create content daily → Bootstrap a media company

Pick up a new skill every 30 days to accelerate your value.

Set Anti-Goals

The quickest choice that kills momentum: finding distractions.

Set anti-goals to build guardrails to your attention.

Ask yourself:

• What's the worst outcome?
• What systems lead to that?
• What daily actions create that system?

Avoid at all costs.

Kill Self-Doubt

When betting on yourself, self-doubt is your biggest confrontation.

View self-doubt as a signal to learn, not to quit:

• Ask for help
• Learn the basics
• Practice and implement
• Teach others

Ruthlessly Track Your Time

No one is going to hold you accountable for your own progress.

Tracking your time illuminates:

• Which hours you are most productive
• What methods teach you the fastest
• What areas interest you the most

This data is invaluable.

Set Specific Goals

Your intentions guide your destination.

Stop setting arbitrary goals (ie. "I'm thinking of surfing on a beach in Costa Rica, without worrying about money")

Start setting specific goals (ie. "I want to hit $5 million in revenue by 2023, $3 million in profit")
