I finally removed these things from my life.

And I'm happier & more productive because of it.

đŸ§”:
Complaining about taxes

Taxes suck. Always have, always will

It’s the price we pay to live in a functioning society
Being serious all the time

The best advice I heard on this topic:

“You don’t have to be serious to act serious”

Smiling, laughing and unserious attitude is a serious life/work unlock
Cutting transactional “friends”

Some friends use you when you're convenient

Real friends are there in the good times and the dark times

Know who your real friends are and giving them your energy
My favorite quote on friendship:

"When someone treats you like an option, help them narrow their choices by removing yourself from the equation. It's that simple"

True.
My POV on retirement:

Retirement means you can retire from chasing money

Retirement means do what you love

You can retire at 25, 35, 45
The need to impress strangers on Instagram

Instagram is often like fast food. Tastes great in the moment, but its bad for you

Use in moderation
Giving up on hobbies

At the first sign of struggle, many of us just say “ok, whatever” on playing piano or learning to become a magician

It’s easy to give hobbies a back seat

But hobbies are the spice of life

Keep going
“Catastrophising”

Constantly imagining the worst case scenario is called catastrophising

Ex:

- What if this meeting goes completely wrong?

So much is out of our control so life is hard to predict

If you avoid the prediction game: you’ll be happier
Keeping your ideas to yourself

That’s no fun

Sharing ideas = clarity & potential to be remixed

"If I have an apple and you have an apple and we exchange them, we both still have 1 apple

If I have an idea and you also have an idea and we exchange them, we both have 2 ideas."
Talking negatively about others

imagine a scenario where someone is talking bad about you, your creations or your startup.

That’ll help you visualize the damage your doing a bit more

It never pays to be negative others
Spending money recklessly

It won’t make you happier and it won’t make you more grounded

Spend on what makes you happy

Spend consciously
Times New Roman

Being default is using Times New Roman

It’s the usual, it’s uninspiring and it isn’t fun

Your life & creations suffer from it

Life’s too short to use Time News Roman
