Russell Brunson is a digital marketing entrepreneur, author, coach, and speaker.

He was born in 1980 in Provo, Utah, United States, where he grew up to develop an interest in business and other hobbies.

He long started developing his marketing skill when he was much younger as he would collect junk mails, used radio and television ads, seizing every business opportunity just to get as far as possible knowledge and understanding from the marketing world.

Outside marketing and business in general, Russell loved wrestling while growing up which soon turned a hobby for him.

In high school, for example, Russell was a state champion wrestler, becoming an all-American in his senior year, taking second place in the country at the high school nationals. This he continued into his college, learning valuable lessons about competition, hard work and the art of winning. He became one of the top ten wrestlers in the country at graduation.

Fast forward to this day, Russell Brunson has founded, and has also co-founded several successful companies, popularized some of the most effective sales techniques used in the world of marketing today, and had also published several successful books in the marketing category.

I’m going to try to write this review without giving away the pith of the book, even though it's relatively simple. I’m sure you could find it in other reviews if you care to go looking for it.

Anyway, this is the final book in the “Secrets” series from Brunson, and it finishes off that series pretty nicely. Whereas the first two books talk about sales funnels and establishing an expert presence online, respectively, this one ties everything together and provides the final piece of the puzzle — a solution to the "traffic problem."

Why I think this book fits into the series so nicely is because it’s clear that, even with an amazing product, if you don't have customers, you don’t have a business. Thus, this one focuses on how we can attract said customers to us and start taking some sales.

In terms of its content, I thought the first half was very eye-opening. It offers a simple yet effective strategy for finding folks who want your products and bringing them into your business / funnels. That strategy is super practical and actionable, and I will definitely be using it in the future.

The second half, however, was a little bit more mundane for me, or at the very least, slightly less useful. Brunson covers a few different platforms (IG, Facebook, Google) and how to use them to gain traffic. The problem with this second half is that because the “secrets” of each platform change all the time, Brunson hesitates to dive too far into specifics. I don’t blame him for doing so, and I appreciate him being upfront about this, but it inevitably reveals the difficult nature of writing about such a subject.

So, overall, I’d say that this one fits the mold of the series well and ties things together nicely. Though it’s not without some slower or less helpful parts, it most certainly provides value and leaves you with some actionable steps to take. It’s not my favorite of the series (“Dotcom Secrets” is), but I still think it’s definitely worth reading.

I’m usually a big fan of Brunson but this is my least favourite. The majority of the information here is either recycled from his previous two books or is completely unrealistic.

His market strategy based on the “Dream 100” is fine when you’re Russell Brunson and people already know you and would be happy to have you on their channel.

What if you’re a nobody, just getting started? What kind of leverage do you possibly have to get them to feature you?

Also it bugs the hell out of me that he only once towards the end of the book mentioned that he has a team who do it all for him. That publishing schedules he laid out for each platform are completely unrealistic if you plan to do even a half decent job of any of it. Rather than feeling inspired by his ability to be 100% across all platforms (thanks to his marketing team), it’s defeating.

It’s simply not realistic for the average entrepreneur.

I specialise in Instagram marketing and the content on Instagram was WEAK. No one is going to achieve any success at all with the strategies listed there and that’s a damn shame because many people take him word as gospel.

There were a few good points here and there but honestly, this was a huge disappointment. More like social media for dummies.

Solid instalment of the ‘secrets trilogy’ but probably not as good as a stand alone book. Probably the weakest of the three for me, but good complimentary addition (largely because I’m early in the funnel building phase - perhaps later down the track this book will become more relevant)

It’s a good book talking about how to bring traffic to different funnels. I listened to this book on Audible. It’s over six hours long.

I don’t know who has the patients to actively listen to all the content in this book, take notes and put it into action.

I’d probably recommend somebody to find a summary instead that highlights the 80/20 of what should be the main points

As the saying goes, " a broken clock is right twice a day".
This book started off promising for me. The author shared some ideas and techniques I thought were good. Even though they were not his ideas (but he was upfront about it). However, around 40%, he said he use to watch the reality show "The Apprentice" as a teenager to get ideas, stating who better to get business advice from than Donald Trump. I showed grace at first because he was clear he watched it as a teenager (young and dumb in my opinion) but he made no mention or even attempted to make it clear that he realized later as an adult "The Apprentice" was a reality TV show and completely made up for entertainment purposes. After this, it was hard for me to take this book seriously. But, regardless, I continued reading it because again, a broken clock is right twice a day.
Also, this book is definitely geared to those with no moral compose and just want to make money. The whole tail end (really the whole thing though) of the book is about how to really monetized your pyramid scheme.
The entire book is a collection of other people's ideas he has used that worked for him. It's fine, but he definitely markets this thing as if he's sharing HIS secrets, not other's people's secrets. That's just a personal pet peeve.
Good luck folks.

I paid a marketing/sales coach far too much money for what she provided - not much coaching, lots of videos. But in a video about webinars, she mentioned Russell Brunson, to say she had made a lot of changes from his webinar script/ format. I immediately tracked this guy down and found she was largely teaching his books - but not as clearly. I could have saved soooooo much money if only I had found his books before I found her.
He works through how to post on Google, Instagram and Facebook - how the goals of each are different and how you need to carefully tailor a post for the platform. (Seems obvious, but I usually use social media for entertainment and education - not marketing.) You shouldn't use the same post on multiple platforms- you need to modify it to fit the platform's goals - not yours. And don't try to play on all of the platforms at once - focus on one and master it before adding another.
I really didn't want to like these books - the author is one of those spammers who sells crap online and once he gets your email, never leaves you alone. But the content seemed helpful - really tells you how to do online marketing).
I may have to update after I've tried his techniques.

In the third book of his Underground series, Russell Brunson, co-founder of Click Funnels, explains how you can direct traffic into your sales funnel. Using his Dream 100 technique, Brunson teaches timeless marketing tactics that will work no matter what platform and that can adapt as algorithms change. Brunson focuses on the bigger picture but gives plenty of examples to showcase how to adapt the techniques to different platforms, knowing that when the platforms eventually change, you'll know how to adapt with it.

I love reading books about blogging, and I randomly picked Traffic Secrets up at Barnes and Noble, without having read the first two books. Since I don't actually sell anything or run sales funnels, Brunson's book didn't quite apply to me. Yet, since his techniques are more about the overarching process than about the minute details, I still learned a lot about marketing and think I will see positive benefits in my business for years to come.

As usual with books like this one, there is a lot of fluff and filler content. However, Russell Brunson is knowledgeable and some of his ideas are good.

Although the actual "traffic secrets" are age-old tactics, social media beginners should learn since day one in the business, they are a nice refresher. Sometimes the simplest things ARE the answer.

For small businesses and solopreneurs, it will be difficult to execute them since they require a lot of personal and a lot of creative investment. Quality is not an easy thing to maintain. If you would like to take one thing from this book, it is the understanding of funnels and list of tactics you can try out to see what fits best for you.

I recommend the supplemental material if you have the e-book version. It has some nice worksheets and takeaways that are easily digestible and ready to use.

Oh, how what I feel I've learned in this book were exactly what I've been needing all these years. Since I was a teenager...13 or so years old, I've tried to make websites to sell items, but never knew how to get traffic organically as I didn't have access to a credit card, and even now in my country it's even more difficult to get one. I remember feeling so frustrated everytime i'd try.

The methods in this book opened my eyes to ways of getting organic traffic that makes sense, and I have been implementing them along the way such as your Dream 100, which is a list that is pertinent to nearly every other part of the book. It just makes sense. I'm eager to see the results of the implementation of these methods in the coming months and years. Excellent read!

I really liked that instead of giving current tricks to getting traffic from each platform, he instead show a pattern for finding out what the current tricks are, and show examples for four platforms. He also gives a daily/weekly/monthly schedule for activities to increase traffic on each platform in the example. If you did all four platforms, it would be a full-time job. Unfortunately, after he goes into the four platforms he then states that you should focus on one platform, the platform you are most familiar with (wish that chapter would have been before the four platform chapters, I about burned myself out trying to do all four at once).

The first few chapters offer really great insight. As a digital marketing expert, I learned a lot from reading them. I immediately implemented concepts such as the emotion-logic-fear messaging and the Dream 100.

Despite the good content at the beginning, I found the channel-specific chapters quite repetitive and slightly outdated, given the fast pace of these channels. Especially because Russell set the intention at the beginning to offer something timeless, I was a bit disappointed when I got to these chapters.

Nevertheless, there's a lot you can learn from this book - even if that means only reading the first few chapters.

I found this book... something, for sure.

A lot of the information was good. But, I had this awful bitter taste underlying in the book that I just couldn't shake. The way Brunson writes, it is very pyramid-scheme-y

The way this book was written gave me the spidey senses and I was right.
Did some research and Brunson is one of those type of growth marketers that kinda sell their soul to try to get more customers.

It was still an okay book, but there were parts in the book that were pretty wrong in SEO terms.

I would not recommend.

It's a smart blueprint any business owner can adopt and implement.

I did find myself feeling like it was a little too prescriptive at times. I think the key is reading it through, taking a step back, and then figure out a way to marry the foundation principles taught with your own brand values.

It's definitely a worthwhile read though, especially if you find yourself a little bit lost when it comes to growing and monetizing your website effectively.

I would give 2.5/5 stars.
For me some of the major takeaways from this book are, Knowing who is your target audience and finding where they usually hang out, ID ur Dream 100, modeling their strategies on how to target the audience that u want, then "Work" your way in and "Buy" your way in. These are some of the major takeaways I found from this book.

Overall it's not a bad read (learned quite a few things), but I felt seldom bored after the middle part.

I think the book delivers what it promises. Russel is a good writer and writes from his own experience.
I think he did a great job explaining a common framework that help you solve the traffic problem across multiple platforms. Also the dream 100 concept was very nice.

One tip: I would recommend reading his books "dotcom secrets" and "expert secrets" first so you get even more out of this book.

Russell, You are a genius. In my opinion, this is your best book by far.
Everything comes together and more. You have the ability to explain concepts with such clarity and in a gripping way. Your generosity in parting with this gold is amazing.

It’s a Great Clickfunnels Ad - And More

Brunson lives his model, and I’ve bought, and read, all the books. The book, part of a 4 part series that also includes an entire Clickfunnels ecosystem, discusses how to build, monetize and optimize the sales process. A good blueprint for success - even if it is a thinly veiled sales pitch.

Amazing manual that shows you how to get unlimited traffic

As always it's best to read it both with dotcom secrets

Define your avatar, who you want to attract and repel

Find out where they hangout / where and who congregated them

Test your messages and offers so that you get their attention + action

Convert this traffic into a list you own by buying ads or organically

A bit redundant on others he's written. The value wasn't as apparent. I finished, but somewhat reluctantly. If this is your first Russell Brunson, I think it's hit a lot harder and be more useful, though it is showing its age. TikTok is the place to be, and he knows that right now, but you can't update a book quickly enough for trends like that.

I read this book for work. While, I found some practical tips to implement and add into our current marketing strategies, I found Brunson's writing style annoying. There is a fair amount of name-dropping and unnecessary storytelling but it's worth a read if you're interested in expanding your marketing practices.
