Stāsts toreiz sākās ar Dean Graziosi grāmatu "Millionaire Success Habits" un viņa tālākajām videolekcijām un citām lietām, vienā no kurām viņš ieteica šo autoru, kuram tik tikko šogad nākusi klajā šī grāmata "Opportunity", kuru man bija tā iespēja pasūtīt bez maksas, sedzot vien sūtīšanas izmaksas (uhh, nu gan garš teikums sanāca..).

Labi.

I'm rating the book on the content of the ideas and not so much the format. The book clearly needs some work as far as delivery. A lot of people will be turned off by all the marketing. To me the ideas are compelling enough to not mind. I'm more of an individualist, but not so much when it comes to creative endeavors so I found the section about partnerships and collaboration thought provoking. The overall tone of the book I think helped me to examine my life from a point of view I'd not considered. There are some parts where it's a little boring or rough, but it's worth reading because there is another fascinating idea around the next corner.

Having read over 100 books, this is one of the few that I’ve finished in less than 2 days. Yes, it’s a first draft and their needs to be some more editorial editing but the message and content is just mind-blowing. The very last chapter is a practical guide on how to transform your life to achieve a higher level of personal actualization.

"There is a tide in the affairs of men. Which, taken at the flood, leads on to fortune; Omitted, all the voyage of their life Is bound in shallows and in miseries. On such a full sea are we now afloat, And we must take the current when it serves, Or lose our ventures." - Shakespeare

"In my life, I have found that when it's tie to find a solution, or get something done, or reach a goal, if I go out looking, I will find the opportunity. It's always there. But you have to go out looking."

Questions to ask:
1) Where is the greatest opportunity with my body? How can I avoid and prevent sickness and pain, and create more energy, healthy, and vitality? Play tennis, surf.
2) Where is the greatest opportunity with my emotions? How can I avoid sadness and anger, and create more happiness, joy, and fulfillment? Stay on my mission and follow my purpose.
3) Where is the greatest opportunity with my mind? How can I avoid boredom, and create more learning, growth, and meaning in my life? Learn, read, and meditate 1 hr daily.
4) Where is the greatest opportunity with my environment? How can I avoid failure, and create success and surroundings that inspire me? Surround yourself with winners. Design my environment. Have my future self protect my present self with good habits and limiting access to bad habits.
5) Where is the greatest opportunity with my relationships? How can I avoid rejection, and build loving and collaborative relationships with friends, family, and business partners? Share and give to my inner circle. Keep in touch with family and friends.
6) Where is the greatest opportunity to make a contribution? seoforgood.com

Example: An opportunity to make twice the money, but have half the joy in life, isn't usually worth it.

“I bargained with Life for a penny,
And Life would pay no more,
However I begged at evening
When I counted my scanty store;

For Life is just an employer,
He gives you what you ask,
But once you have set the wages,
Why, you must bear the task.

I worked for a menial's hire,
Only to learn, dismayed,
That any wage I had asked of Life,
Life would have paid.”

I wish geniuses like Eben would write more books. I really crave for this type of information.
He’s one of the top philosophers of modern times compared to Socrates and Aristotle.

I’m appalled how many people judge the book by its cover and rate it unfairly. They talk about delivery or a typo in the book, which means zero to people like me that want to learn something. Why do you read books? Is that for delivery? Well let me disappoint you, this is a bad book if you are looking for pictures and entertainment… you might as well watch Netflix for that.

I made notes for pages and pages, outlining 100s of ideas. And, if I would listen to bad reviews I’d miss a great opportunity to learn something amazing, higher level stuff.

Good luck with choosing the right thing. But don’t forget it’s easy to go for the easier thing, press the button and entertain yourself or enjoy a nicely designed book that has zero substance. However, it’s hard to learn and become a better person which pays off later in life 1000X. (There’s obviously a reason why people don’t read Socrates as much as some hot novel)

There's a great book in there somewhere. As it is, it's a little bit of a mess.

I don't think it's completely fair to review this, since it's clearly more of a second draft than a first edition. But it's the one I read, so...

There were some great, thought-provoking ideas in this book. There were sections that were impressive, fun to read, and that will probably be churning around in my head as I encounter new situations. I now have some new ways of looking at the world. It just takes a lot of effort to find these things in here among the repetition, stories, and vague language.

Near the end, Eben describes why the book is structured in the way it is, and released in the state it's in. And I get it. But as an experiment, it doesn't hit the mark.

If you're the kind of person who considers getting one great idea out of a book to be a good trade, this is worth reading. Otherwise, I'd wait to see if it's revised into something tighter in a future edition.

Hi,

I hope all is progressing well.

Reading a book like Opportunity by Eben Pagan is good for individuals seeking to find a variety of reference points to even more knowledgeable-veritable sources. This edition of Opportunity became more of an editorial project for me than a simple read through. As Opportunity encourages readers towards embracing opportunities in and about their lives, it explains as well as delegates principles navigating Eben Pagan's optimal routes, from his understandings, for creating and managing life with opportunities and successes.

Onward and Upward,

I've been a huge fan for a long time and this book doesn't disappoint. He has a very unconventional and novel outlook many matters. A true pioneer!

I strongly recommend reading this back to back with the Rational 0ptimist by Matt Ridley, it'll make your head spin!

I've learned a lot from Eben throughout the years. What always fascinates me is how he sees and analyses the world from many different perspectives, many of which he explores in this book. I don't think it is very well-written to be honest... but definitely worth a read.

In a world of constant change and ever increasing opportunity, it can be extremely hard to function- let alone keep up - this book provides some brilliant frameworks on how to cope (and thrive ) with it all now and in the future - this is my first book from the author Eben Pagan, but not first experiences with his teachings which I believe as a teacher he’s one of the best and most insightful out there ..

...And this books message is not only more relevant and important now than ever - but will only increase in value in the future judging by the way the world is going and looking

P.S I am not sure if the offer is still available, but if you are buying this book, I recommend purchasing it from the authors website directly because it came with some excellent bonus recorded coaching calls and training videos that compliment the book perfectly - all for free!

For months, all I wanted was someone to sit down with me and talk about what I'm going through.

This book is that answer.

It's like Eben Pagan saw the confusion and the crisis I'm going through (and millions others are too) and decided to talk directly to myself.

This book is full of big ideas from someone who has been there and actually done it. This man was making $10.000.000 in sales per month in information products long before the likes of Tai Lopez. And when it comes to entrepreneurial training, he's one of the more mature writers out there - talking to the rational crowd, not the get quick rich one.

The book itself is formatted as a flow of consciousness writing, and I'm fine with that. And it is the perfect answer to the question of "am I in the right place in my life?" - something I keep asking myself.

Thank you!

Thank you so much!

PS: Many people commented the book has typos and errors and this subtracted from the overall score.

This reminds me of an Amazon review of the 10X planner from Grant Cardone. The review went like this "well, I am achieving more and I'm more productive but I'm giving it only three stars because it's only for 60 days".

I feel like hitting these people. I feel like smacking them, I swear. While there are errors and typos, why does it matters if it changes your life for the better? If the ideas are good and relevant to your life, then every other sentence can be written by someone who speaks English as a third language and it wouldn't matter.

It's a manual for better living.

Unfortunately, there are plenty of people like this that miss the point.
