As a Muslima, there's so much I don't agree with in this book (I can easily see that my concerns can be dismissed since I'm a mere 200s whose sense of reality is restricted by the physical ;p) but still this is a gem for me! The first levels were painful to read! I was seriously disturbed.. it was a relief once he started the 200+ levels! But even after that I could see myself & others in every single level! Guess I have tiny pockets of them as he says :) & the passage about the life as a river analogy was sheer beauty <3

This book made me VERY grateful for some reason :)

Although I found this book to be similar with Transcending the Levels of Consciousness: The Stairway to Enlightenment in many ways, the simplicity in the explanations of it allowed me to deepen my knowledge regarding the different levels of consciousness as described by Dr. Hawkins. I remain hesitant to fully accept what the author is saying, especially the latter parts of the book when he talked about higher levels of consciousness, but I think there is plenty of value to be found in the book.
This book made me see life in a slightly different way, it made me wonder about my own level of energy (consciousness) and that of my surroundings and it gave me a context in which I can use to make sense of certain aspects of my life. Most importantly though, it showed me new doors that will perhaps help further my quest to understand meaning. For those reasons I give it 4 stars.

Book is good, if you can ignore his personal views. It will help you realize your level of energy and how to improve it, it's eye opening and casual read.
Here are few of his personal views which are absurd:
- He says that if you don't agree that every country in the world should give money to Israel FOREVER as reparations for holocaust then you are anti semitic and in anger level of energy.
- "Barack Obama's soul will be one of the most celebrated in afterlife realms" LOL
- He states few reasons why he doesn't teach how to get Enlightened. Enlightenment can't be taught according to him. BUT he has course called "The Enlightenment Technique" where he's teaching exactly that, contradicting himself.

So take from this book what's good and discard what is bad or what you don't agree with.

Warning: this review may or may not contain pockets of 100-200 energy level.
Honestly though. I cant believe I actually read the whole thing. The idea upon which this entire book is based, that one can take literally any thing or concept and map it down onto a one dimensional energy scale, is absurd.
Also, the author makes it seem that the ordering of items on the scale is somehow objective, which couldn't be further from the truth.
To be fair, the scale the author presents and the ordering of items on it are both interesting, and they caused me to think about many of the activities and situations I engage with on a daily basis in new ways. So two stars, not one.

Hahah, this book is amazing, but also contains a myriad of seemingly ridiculous statements. If you're interested in either general psychology, personal development or spirituality, or if you are a human, I strongly recommend checking out this book. The core concepts are great, but take the details with a pinch of salt😉

That was super interesting! I learned a lot (probably more than I realize right now) and it really helped put quite a few things into perspective at this exact time. Not to mention it had the added benefit of having me really slow down and think in general. I was going to take notes and then realized I really will just internalize what I think I need to know and see where that goes.

Really loved this book, very eye-opening, you might feel weird or out of place sometimes around lower consciousness people as you understand how they feel and what drives them inside... It's a really good read, read it in one week.

I really enjoyed the approach the author took to organize and outline all of the energy levels. I'd enjoyed it even more if there were some actionable steps on measuring and increasing energy levels (aside from the questionnaires).

This book is not for everyone.

Yet, if you've been reading about mindfulness, spirituality, and being open, this might be a great book for you.

Dodson does a great job of helping us understand where we are, energetically, and what are the steps to keep flowing towards higher levels of energy.

The road will be different for everyone, and no one can tell you where to go, it's now a how-to book. Yet, it will give you the map so that you have a better idea of where you are in your journey, and where you should go if you want to reach higher levels of energy.

Flow: 5/5
Actionability: 4/5
Mindset: 5/5

Some of My Highlights:

"Infinity is. Period. Anything after the 'is' is not infinity but an aspect of it."

"The prime aspect of the Most High is radiant Love. This Love is an energy so profound and intense that it has the power to create all of these worlds and souls."

"Darkness is merely a lower gradient of light on a scale, but it is still light, even if to your eyes it sometimes appears as if there is none."

"In this sense, the ocean is more real than its single waves."

"It teaches me that in order to expand I must be more like it. That would mean to stop focusing on that tiny dot within the circle and become aware of more."

"Paradoxically, resistance draws towards us the things we do not desire."

"Relief from suffering comes from relaxing desire on one end and resistance on the other end; relaxing both attachment and aversion (which are actually two sides of the same coin)."

"Depending on your place on the scale and your intentions, something will give you a 'bad vide' or a 'good vibe'."

"You experience the world not as it is, but as you are."

"To stereotype people comes from being aware of these energy-field relations but being judgmental and patronizing about the whole matter."

"There is a fine difference between discernment and judgmentalism."

"If you operate from a 'I don't need coffee to feel better' the coffee you do drink will taste better."

"There is a lot of power in releasing neediness."

"But what about the 'no pain, no gain' dogma we are all brought up to believe? Well, it does not apply to the mental and emotional realm, it only applies to the physical world."

"Those who have not mastered this think about working when they are trying to relax and think about relaxing when they are trying to work."

"In fact, as a general note, presume less and perceive more."

"A helpful exercise in this regard is to list everything you have done recently in order to gain approval or avoid disapproval from others."

"It takes three days at a certain level before your surrounding reality begins to align with your state."

"Expressing your thoughts and emotions is better than suppressing them, but neither is as good as releasing them."

"When you notice you can't beat the energy then follow your feelings, give into them."

"If you remember only one thing from this book, let it be this: resisting something does not solve it, it feeds it."

"The higher your basic level, the quicker you move out of temporary lows."

"The more actual power you have, the less force is required."

This book was informative and gives a decent introduction of an energetic scale that is available to us (0 - 1000+). It helps make you aware of the "energy" that surrounds your environment and gives you a visual on how to quantify emotions and improve on those emotions. The author seemed knowledgeable on the subject, however, the way the information was presented seemed a bit arrogant at times... (a lot of personal opinions and bias) but hey, that might be one of my low levels talking (joking). Overall, it was a good and informative read that I will be able to use and implement going forward. Unfortunately, the author has embraced conspiracy theories and misinformation in the last 2 years (level 100ish) and THAT is truly disappointing. So take from this book what's good and discard what is bad or what you don't agree with.

I listened to this on audible and the narration gets 5 stars. Thomas Miller does a superb job.

This book is... amazing! I love how the author dives deep in the behavior/subconsciousness of all "levels"(states as anger/boredom/courage) and see the very practical side of each, and how each is very important and shouldn't be labeled as bad or good, as we can't say that cold or hot are neither bad or good. Every emotion that humanity experience is needed and there are no good or bad ones, so it's interesting point of view to see sadness or anger as something useful.

He scales them from 0-1000 as 0 is the lowest and 1000 the highest. He clarifies that this scale is the world as he sees it(his reality), and it doesn't make a difference whether is 0-1000, 0-10, 0-100000 and so on. That scale represents every emotion as the lowest being hatred, apathy, fear and progressing to boredom, courage to unconditional love and beyond. There are no good or bad, they are all energy flowing. Think of sounds. Every sound resonates on a different frequency. The nature of the sound itself is the same, and each sound is different for it's frequency. The same goes for emotions, they are all energy, resonating at different levels of the scale.

This book is not universal truth, but a tool used for measurement, as the thermometer is used in measuring temperature. Every "level" has it's meaning and purpose and you can put anything on that scale. We as humans are not set at exactly one frequency but we are simply in a range. For example you may resonate mostly to 300 and you can fall to 170 and go up to 410. This is just an example. What shocked me most is that we carry as he says pockets of different emotions, that seems to release when our subconsciousness doesn't hide it anymore. For example you can be at 475 (joy) but some fear may still be locked inside of you. For this case he gives examples of how can you let go of those pockets in a very natural way - with questions or activities.

And it's not so much what's the thing/action, it's more where the intention for that action is coming from (as the analogy with sounds earlier).

A true believer in this book will no doubt say that my low rating is due to me not being in the right "energy range" to read it. To be fair, nothing about this book or its description would have attracted me to read it. I ended up reading it because my brother read it and then recommended it to me several times, and also began referring to it in most conversations. Although the cover and description in no way interested me, it was not a painful read--it was somewhere between interesting and amusing. Probably would have given it 2 stars, except for the fact that some of the mis-information presents spiritual danger to the unwary reader, and thus is no longer amusing. For example, the author claims that the demons can't hurt you if you vibrate fast enough. While it is true that the demons have limited power and can be successfully overcome, the unanimous witness of those who have done so is that the key to destroying their power is being humble enough, not vibrating fast enough. There were certainly truths in this book, some of which seemed to be paraphrased directly from The Ladder of Divine Ascent, but some truths were phrased in the language of new age psychobabble, making an amusing contrast between the truth of the concept and the falsity of the language used to express it.

Loved this book! Key to liking this book is not to expect to resonate with or even believe everything that’s mentioned in it, but rather to entertain the interesting take on the scale of “frequencies” we “vibrate” in and use this scale as a tool. It allows you to recognize your state of mind as an observer and subtly nudge it towards a better one. The message of the book is very similar to “Power vs. Force” by David R. Hawkins without any of the Kinesiology stuff, and is written much better IMO. Again, many opinions in here that you don’t need to believe to take away the core message of the book, which is fascinating. Highly recommended.

In LEVELS OF ENERGY Frederick Dodson has laid out the details of the various energy levels we human beings are on. The energy scale varies from 0 to 1000. 1000 representative of infinity/divinity which is currently not found on our planet. 0- 15 is the lowest energy level at which a person is dealing with depression and is suicidal. We all know that we attract the things/ events that are at the same frequency as our thoughts. If you have a scale which tells you exactly what your energy level can bring in your life, it just makes things easily discernable. This book will give you that scale.

The book starts with a beautiful ode to infinity that is absolutely unforgettable . Dodson has categorised every human experience into these levels of energy. So all the notable books, monuments, speeches, authors, catastrophies, songs, actors, gurus, yoga practices etc. and every human experience under the sun, emit energy that is measurable. Later in the book he has elaborated through a metaphor how our inner compass can tell us whether we are on the right path or not.

Just being aware of the energy scale made me conscious of the thoughts I was mulling over. I mean yes autopilot thinking mode can wreck havoc and I have created several monsters just by thinking 😎😎. How cool is that ha? But yes given the simplicity of this book it turned out to be like nothing I've read before. My energy level range is 300- 400😇😇

An appreciated effort

I am giving this book five stars not because I agree with all it says but because I felt that a huge effort was exerted and a lot of reading took place in order to write this book. I am also giving it 5 stars because of the author's intention to help humanity.

The parts that I like about the book are the detailed descriptions of the energy levels and emotions one might experience. I liked two things in specific, #1 is that after a certain level you start losing interest in accumulating wealth outside because the joy you found inside replaced the need for wealth which paradoxically attracts more wealth. #2 is that at very high levels of energy personal will is surrendered to divine will.

At the beginning of the book I was very frustrated with the book because it was very dark. As I progressed I became more and more satisfied with the book.

The above is what I like about the book.

What I did not like about the book is assigning numbers to various specific people, religions, and products. It felt judgemental to me and it has no basis on which these judgements are made other than the author's feeling. That is only my opinion.

But overall I am satisfied with the experience this book gave me. That does not mean I agree with the book in its entirety but it just means that I am satisfied and I appreciate the effort the author has put into it.

Want to know Dodson's opinion on everything in this world? Pick it up. Otherwise skip it.

It reminded me of David Hawkin's Power vs Force book in it's description of energy levels as quantizations.

It was entertaining, I generally agree that places and people have vibes\energies that can be picked up by sensitive people and I also think gangsta rap is degenerate (i'm kidding), but it was packed with too many subjective opinions and absolute fallacies. I just can't give it a higher score. You only know when someone's spouting BS when they talk about things in your area of familiarity. So, what does he have to say about the Indian caste system? Apparently, caste in india is based on one's skin colour. Wow, that's new to me. Everyone can recognize me as an upper caste person in my city despite my Obama\Denzel Washington skin colour. Colour has nothing to do with one's caste. It's about one's occupation and family. Apparently in India, blacks are seen as sub-human. Wow, again new to me. Does he know that Lord Krishna was black? Goddess Kali, black. Lord Siva, black again. Does it occur to him India was one of the few places where a black man came as a slave and became a rule of a kingdom? He seems to project his thoughts and feelings onto everything. "Do I like something?" Let's give it a "high vibration" score. "Do I dislike something?" Let's give it a "low vibration" score.
Apparently, Switzerland and New Zealand are high vibration places. Author seems to conflate picturesque locations with spiritualities. Switzerland which enables money laundering of criminals and corrupt politicians and politicians is so high and mighty. Switzerland evaded WW2 because it's population was "high vibration" and above conflict apparently. It has nothing to do with the reality that Switzerland is a fortress that hoarded Nazi gold, loaned money to the Nazis and was not cost worthy to invade. I can just keep poking holes in his writing but I'll save myself the trouble.

There are pockets of interesting truths here though. He says level 505's can sense what will happen in the immediate future. I notice that I can usually know when a signal is going to go green before it does. I will just get the engine revved on time. I also notice synchronicities and stuff like that in a way that won't make sense to most people. I would compose a Haiku at work and in the evening come across a "haiku festival" at the local school. He also mentions "remote viewing" another capability I find I have at time which I can sometimes use to know if a shopkeeper has come or is closing shop. However, I agree that we have different states and I definitely don't vibe at a 500+ normally. Maybe around 250-450 90% of the time (active to knowledge oriented) or 500 when I sit down to compose. sometimes dipping down to 160 when I get provoked and sometimes rising up past the 500's when I start getting interested in the multi-dimensional aspects of reality.

Great book to read about how everything is in relation to what surrounds us and very useful to uplift the mood, release past emotional blockages and traumas coupled with Michael Brown The Presence Process and you will have a fresh new perspective on life for yourself and your loved ones, highly recommend to people who feel stuck or want more out of life, this is the go-to for that and many more reasons. Lot of great knowledge, some are bit off and too out-there-concepts, although it might start to make sense if you let the blockages free from your body and your mind-body-soul starts to shift in the desired directions. Many numbers to track, at first I neglected those when reading, then I started to enjoy it as a scale and it made more and more sense with each level and chapter accompanying it, great examples, lot of recognition in the world and what surrounds us in everyday life here and there. Amazing insights. Love it!

Certainly one of those books that helps shift your perspective on things a bit.

Although there's a lot of nonsensical things said with no explanation or justification given whatsoever.

Reading this helped me to drop the importance I had been giving to something for many years now (I didn't consciously set the intention going in, but it naturally came as a result of the realization I experienced). Freeing up more time, energy and focus for me to direct on more important things.

To quantify it - I was 80% of the way there prior to reading this. But afterwards I completely saw it for what it was and stopped caring about it.

A more accurate way to put it would be, the sun came up and the mound of snow weighing down on my roof naturally and effortlessly began to melt and subsequently slide to the ground.

I didn't have to do anything in particular, the shift simply occurred.

I tore through this book—both on audible and kindle—and I want to recommend it to every person in my life now.
Everybody know about energy and vibration. Some people and places have lower vibe, others higher. I said about a million times, I want to increase my vibration. But assigning numbers to the vibration on a scale of 1-1000 is marvelously didactic, and honestly explains SO much. You can find yourself on a scale or replay situations from your life (or people) and find them on a scale and it explains SO MUCH. I think I’ll be studying this book for a long time, and I dare to say that it’s one of those life changing “spiritual” books for me. (Even though it’s not all that spiritual).
One note: I didn’t agree with all of the author’s opinions, and you may not either, so just take what resonates and leave the rest.
See you in the 500s, friends!

I really want to give 4.5 stars but rounding up to 5 because I really got a lot out of it.

If you want to look at life in a completely different way, ready this book. He talks about how Our emotions are on a scale. The lower the number, the more dense and negative the emotion. We strive to raise our energy level for find true peace and love.

Sometimes it feels like the author includes too much ego, especially when eating other spiritual leaders. Did that need to be included?

But it did have So many absolutely life changing ideas and perspectives. I’ve ready several of the authors books and this one did not disappoint.

This is a treasure trove of ideas. A brilliant read, recommended by my very materialistic friend Mr. Abinash. He has recommended me, one other awesome read few months back called the Reality transurfing. Life has not been the same, after reading that literature. Levels of energy is a book, that I skimmed through, as most of the contents seemed like very small things, because of the vast difference in energy level of the book and me.

Must read for people who like anything and everything. Gave it 4 stars for the chord it couldn't strike on an emotional level.

Frederick Dodsons Levels of energy is a book that shows you on what levels different kinds of people, places and ideologies radiate at in a scale from 1-1000.

Besides from being really abstract and maybe a little hard to understand for someone with no previous spiritual practice background, the book offers many helpful practices to rid yourself of pockets of lower level energy.

After reading this book, you will get a little better at reading energy levels of various things, which helps you make better decisions about what kind of energy to feed yourself with.

Energy explained so thoroughly

I thoroughly enjoyed this book, it gave me the foundation I have been so longing for in understanding the link of energy to everything, everyone and all actions. It's even answered some 'biblical' questions I've had for a long time. The take away fir me is going to be iny day to day interactions with family, friends, colleagues and humanity at large. I am so grateful to have been led to this book. Thank you Frederick for such an amazing piece of work

It's not the 'word of God', but it's good enough to get five stars. A useful outline for approaching and interpreting life. Is everything written here 100% accurate? Probably not, but alot of it feels pretty accurate. If you judge the worth of this material by adopting this view, and living by it for some time, I think that you will regard this book highly.

Great book, but less broad in content than Dodson's other book, Parallel Universes. This book goes into meticulous detail about the hierarchy of energy levels (from below 0 to 1000), which is interesting but kind of overwhelming, especially when individuals can change to different levels within a range during any particular time in their life or on any particular day for that matter.
