My NFT Art Journey
About ME
I am Vaarin Thakral, a 24-year-old Graphic Designer and Visual artist from India. I am currently a full-time NFT Artist.
I began my career as a graphic design freelancer in 2016/2017. I started with ebook making and designing, and I learned other skills over time. Between 2018 to 2020, I worked with Clients from 40 countries, designing & making advertising, social media designs, and other design works for small and big businesses, individuals, YouTubers, standup comedians, and others.
I have been creating Art and Craft since childhood. I do not have any academic background in Art, and my learning process has been through the internet.
Starting of NFT Journey
I got into Crypto in Nov 2021. Through Crypto, I got to know about NFTs. Given my passion for Art, I started my NFT Art journey in June 2022. The first NFT I made was for an Art competition organized by Ben & Kato. I minted this on Foundation as my genesis.
I then created a few 1/1s and after a month,
I released my first collection on Foundation called Wave Noise.
I received good feedback, and in a few weeks, I made three more artworks in this collection, but overall I was not happy, as I felt I could do better.
Fresh Start
I firmly believe Art represents the artist and I felt I was not expressing myself or connecting with the art I was creating.
After a month, I decided to start fresh and create Art that represents me.
Before heading in a new direction, I got the idea of GIF stories and created 2 GIF artworks. I wanted to create more in this genre, but due to a lack of a decent spec computer and not being able to spend more time, I had to place this on hold. When the time is right, I would love to start again, as this collection is fun and I love the idea behind it!
Having already spent so much on ETH gas fees, I was not in a position to spend more. I heard about Tezos and the great community and loved it.
This led me to mint the two Gifs on Objkt under the ‘Adventures of V’ collection.
The New Vision
Over the past couple of years, my life changed, leading to a minimalist lifestyle, which inspired me to create a minimalist artwork called ‘Vision’ under a new Collection named ‘Sarala’.
I fell in love with what I created and finally found a connection with my Art, and the Art represents me.
It was the ‘Vision’ artwork that inspired me to make minimalist artwork. Minimalism became my style, and I continued creating more artworks under the ‘Sarala’ collection.
With the new direction, I also decided to only mint the artwork if I felt connected to it.
After this, I created a new collection named “Perspective”, under which I made the artwork called ‘Sky’, this was the 2nd artwork of this collection, and this wonderful artwork led to the start of amazing things.
I received excellent feedback for this artwork and it was a sell-out. Although it took a few days, this was my first artwork to sell out.
‘Sky’ artwork led to a new idea about airplanes, and after a few days, I decided to create a new collection ‘Journey — vol.I’, based on this theme. A collection in which everyone can connect to and feel through its simplicity and also have peace (peace in my language, in other words, minimalism). It took about three weeks to create this collection.

My journey just started & this is a long way.
Inspiration
I get big inspiration & motivation from mother nature and also from my work & life. I also want to credit all the minimalist artists for inspiring me.

Suddenly Sold Out
While writing this article, because of fantastic legends, all my Collections which consist of 356 editions, are sold out, including the Journey collection, within nine days.
