I am not a fan of the sound it emits and the controller is not easy to use
I always carry tension and tightness in my neck, and since I have other red-light therapy devices (a pad for the back and a wand) I thought this looked most ideal for my needs as it is simply made for the neck. It seems to work – I can feel the heat and see the light (although I just glance and never look right at it) but I am not sure if I can really use this much going forward. It emits a very high-pitched sound that drives me batty. I can hear it slightly on just the red-light therapy mode, but it drives me insane when using the infrared. My back pad may also make noise but this thing is right at my ears so it can not be ignored. I also have to say that I have sensitive hearing as well and any high-pitched noises or very low rumbles eat into my brain. I really tried to use it – but it is just too much for me on anything else than just red light – that I do not enjoy the sound of but can tolerate.It is a shame as it fits the neck well and feels good while using (although does not sound good). It is a shame as it fits the neck well and feels good while using (although does not sound good). Also, the control is weird. It is really hard to set it and know what it is set on and even use it. I am not sure why they engineered the buttons that way. It is weird and counterintuitive. The instruction booklet is also super fat but that is because they are advertising like every product they make and then have many languages included. Really only like two pages – maybe 4 – apply to this thing. I would have much preferred just a simple pamphlet instead – and one where the directions and instructions are easy to understand. I have arthritis from literally head to toe since age 18. I opened this light therapy unit with great excitement. It did not disappoint. To get out of pain in any portion of my body is a goal daily. When pain medicine was taken away from everyone without consideration of individual situation I found myself on the hunt for relief yet again. I understand it to a degree but it has been harrowing and pain is not understanding. My neck has been a real problem area for the last couple of years so I concentrated on that for the time being. I don't like being tethered to an outlet so I got a nice sized power bank so I can move around with the device on my neck. That was a game changer for sure and a plus that you can do that. I'm not too sure if the Red and Infrared lights themselves individually are helping but together they most certainly are. You have to be careful you don't overdo it. It can get quite warm so take it easy. 30 min tops and take it off. Technology has come a long way and I'm going to use it. It's coming down to the point where individuals can now afford this kind of treatment without paying $100's for a single treatment somewhere. I would recommend this to a friend or family. It's helping me.
