- Reviewed in the United States on June 12, 2025Format: PaperbackVerified PurchaseThe Artist’s Way is more than just a book, it’s a guided experience that helped me reconnect with my creativity in the most honest and empowering way. Julia Cameron’s approach is gentle but deeply impactful. The weekly exercises, especially the “morning pages” and “artist dates,” challenged me to slow down, reflect, and break through mental and emotional blocks I didn’t even know I had.
It’s not just for traditional artists either. Whether you’re a writer, painter, entrepreneur, or simply someone feeling creatively stuck or disconnected, this book gives you the tools to rediscover inspiration and confidence.
It’s a commitment, some weeks felt tough emotionally, but the payoff is real. I highly recommend this to anyone seeking clarity, creative healing, or just a deeper understanding of themselves. A true classic in self-discovery and creative recovery.

- Reviewed in the United States on May 31, 2025Format: PaperbackVerified PurchaseSome many people had said to me, “Have you done the artist’s way?” And I put it off and put it off. Don’t make my mistake. Buy this book now and activate your artistic life!
- Reviewed in the United States on June 7, 2025Format: PaperbackVerified PurchaseProduct was exactly as advertised and arrived ahead of schedule. I will buy from this seller again.
- Reviewed in the United States on July 3, 2024Format: KindleVerified PurchaseI was a little worried when I read that she was an alcoholic -- the 12 step program has helped a lot of people, but it usually leaves a residual emphasis on a higher power.
And that is EVERYWHERE in this book.
She warns that you can substitute it for universe or whatever else you'd like. And I've been getting through the book and finding a lot of value in the exercises.
That being said, personally I recommend reading the end of each chapter and skimming the rest to get the exercises. Unless you're ready for a spiritual version because, again, there's a lot of God in this book.
- Reviewed in the United States on April 26, 2025Format: PaperbackVerified PurchaseLife changing sounds so cheesy but…LIFE CHANGING. For me, it’s all bout the artist within. The one I abandoned long, long ago.
This isn’t a book for artists. It’s a book for HUMANS. I can’t think of a person that wouldn’t benefit from reuniting with their inner creator. It has been such a healing process and I am very, wry grateful. I just purchased another book by Ms. Cameron. I am so thrilled to start tomorrow! Btw…do the morning pages!!! It’s a must and highly rewarding!!
- Reviewed in the United States on April 18, 2025Format: KindleVerified PurchaseI worked through all 12 weeks and the has not only changed my outlook, but I am also writing and creating every day. I'm sure that not everyone will agree with everything in the book, but that makes great material for reflections to help you understand the most important thing, which is how "you" think. I will add that I think doing as many of the exercises as possible each week are crucial to getting the most out of the book.

1.0 out of 5 stars Book came damaged and dirty
The book had something like jam splashed on it. The corners look like the book was used often. Definetly not worth the price if it comes like this... My first purchase on amazon and I'm not going to make the same mistake again. Don't recommend buying here.

5.0 out of 5 stars Amo este libro

2.0 out of 5 stars Save your money and go for a morning walk.
Format: PaperbackVerified PurchaseI know it's a classic, but that's not always a good thing. Dated new-age self-help truisms, circa 2000. Save your money and go for a walk. According to Elizabeth Gilbert, "without The Artist's Way, there would have been no Eat, Pray, Love." Enough said.
