This book has a heart of gold. I am truly a different person after reading it. Garrett White has done his research on the art and strategy to "having it all", and I genuinely think that if anyone were to follow his strategy with the religious fervor he demands, you will definitely "have it all".
Now for the caveats. First, good luck finding this book... Garrett doesn't sell them through traditional means, instead he invites people to join the Wake up Warrior Challenge (which seems like an interesting experience if you're looking for personal coaching and a support network). Otherwise, you'll have to find his books elsewhere at ridiculous prices. Second, I don't think Garrett sells this particular copy anymore because it is massive. Way too big and cumbersome. I think he split it into smaller copies but I'm not sure. Third, after reading this, I realized I don't want to "have it all". "Having it all" is the idea of working relentlessly until you have everything you ever want. But my main issue with this premise is when is it ever enough? Instead of having it all, I would rather find joy in all that I have. It's such a small distinction but I think it makes all the difference. You can still learn amazing things from this approach (I have), but I think it creates an inherent competitiveness that drives accomplishment, but must have some negative side effects. Last, Garrett is a fan of colorful, jarring language. Lots of profanity. For some that's a deal breaker.
In short, if you come across this review and you're looking for something to give you more confidence, assertiveness, and drive, look up Garrett White, and check out his system. I do believe that everyone should look into his "stacking" system, because it is amazing what it can do for your emotional health and awareness.
