- Reviewed in the United States on February 3, 2022This will be one of those books that I read and then let it go to work in challenging my current views of life. It started off easy, then as some of my own finite thinking became apparent it got uncomfortable. At some point I was toying with the idea of putting it down.
Now that I've read it cover-to-cover I can look back at my own journey through the book and I realized that the book is just a primer for the lifelong journey. A just cause for me is to try to leave everyone and everything I touch in a better position. To live with purpose from passion and make a difference every day.
If you are willing to examine your own life and step back to see the big picture then this book is for you.
Thank you to the courageous leaders who stood up and stood out and continue to do so for so long as they are in the game. As you so rightly said Simon: this book is the result of the a bunch of people who had the courage to live out experimentally what they knew in their gut to be a better way.

- Reviewed in the United States on July 27, 2024Format: KindleVerified PurchaseI found wisdom in this book plus a lot of examples of finite and infinite mindset ! leaders of big companies still play finite games in an infinite world and the consequences of this are terrible for them and for the employees. Everyone should read this book to assess better the behaviors of all the leaders in the world
- Reviewed in the United States on July 30, 2023Format: HardcoverVerified PurchaseNo matter if you are an employer or an employee you must read this book. This book should be a mindset reset for high-performance-low trust employees. If a company wants to flourish and grow in this competitive world, all leaders should adopt the infinite game mindset. While I was reading, I examined my working journey, and I witnessed firsthand the struggle for a new and fresh management to express and share their vision, when they inherited an old fashion management team. I think the most important thing Simon explains is the value of building trusting teams. This will be the foundation for the sustainability and success of any team. This is a book that as a leader you must revisit from time to time to maintain your focus and vision. However, I feel the mindset applies mostly to individuals as leaders. It would be fascinating if he could expand the concept to the company in general. Maybe if the company, when they promote an employee to a leadership role, gave a seminar or shared this book with them, this will help to enforce this vision through all the company. Although a single individual could not change the mindset of a whole company, having that mindset as an individual will leave a very good impression and will be like taking the high road to any uncomfortable situation. One of the benefits of an infinite mindset.
- Reviewed in the United States on August 31, 2021Format: HardcoverVerified PurchaseSimon has written yet another thought provoking, book that challenges our values and way we view our PURPOSE in life.
1) Our life is finite (because we will all eventually die one day) however LIFE is infinite until we blow up this planet
- Until we consider ourselves as stewards of this planet, we will live with a finite mindset to consume as much, use as much, and have little to no desire to leave the world a little better than after we die.
2) A finite (scarcity) mindset is all about ME. How much will I gain, benefit, or profit from my efforts with little or less regard on any negative impact our actions may leave behind.
3) An Infinite (Abundant) mindset is more about creating, adding or sharing value. Its more about how can I perform a better service with my talents, sweat, and connections to "make this a better place for you and me." Because "We are the World."
This is MUST READ BOOK, before we blow ourselves up off this planet.

- Reviewed in the United States on September 8, 2024Format: KindleVerified PurchaseAnother fantastic piece of work by Simon! This book provides so many great insights to the workings of companies and how we can approach many aspects of life with an infinite mindset. Read it, Just Cause!
- Reviewed in the United States on October 29, 2019Format: KindleVerified PurchaseA book I think everyone should read to be more caring and responsible beings.
Personally, I really enjoyed this book because it helped me understand why some of the pieces of my life weren't fitting together properly and some of the hard choices I will have to make on the path to changing my mindset. I enjoyed that the writer gave many real examples of how not having an infinite mindset can cause companies to fail which made it easy for the reader to relate. Working in the financial industry where the focus is very much on sales, deadlines and the bottomline, I'm hoping I can build the courage to recommend this book to my CEO lol.
While briefly, it also showed how an infinite mindset can be applied to parenting and the sometimes very high expectations we have for our kids; I appreciated hearing this being a new mom.
Only thing left to say is buy the book and be open minded when reading it and hopefully you enjoy it as much as I did.
Thanks Simon Sinek for having the courage and mindset to write this book and I'm expecting sequels as you continue to play the infinite game :).
- Reviewed in the United States on December 31, 2023Format: KindleVerified PurchaseReally liked the original ideas and insights shared in this book. The fact that these ideas were all further illustrated by real life accounts helped me to more fully understand the concepts being shared. The simple language such as "Just Cause" made this book an easy read for average person.
I'm a Christian who has served as a pastor and now leads a non-profit and that this book. while secular, encourages servant leadership that Jesus taught His followers using His same style of teaching: Parables.
Every aspiring leader should read this book.

5.0 out of 5 stars Sinek's best to date. A really important book.
I have just finished reading @Simon Sinek’s new book, The Infinite Game. In my view this is by far Sinek’s best to date and is a very important book. It addresses the importance of business purpose and business ethics as well some key issues in political economy. And it does so in a way which is very accessible to busy and pragmatic business leaders. I think many will find this a more practical and realistic book than say @Frederic Laloux’s Reinventing Organisations. I also find that book very inspiring but it is utopian whereas I think Sinek’s thesis is essential. Anyone who wants to see capitalism save it from itself and more importantly to understand what business leaders need to do to save Western liberal democracy from resurgent populism and Marxism should read this book.
