“人活一辈子，不图啥，就为个说得着的人。有的人从前说不着，过些年却说得着了；有的人从前说得着，说着说着却忽然说不着了。有些人这一辈子也说不得着。找一个能说得着的人过一辈子是福分，不管是爱人、朋友还是亲人。” 吴摩西和牛爱国都这么找了一辈子，颠沛流离一路却常常无话可说，真难过。

这世上有些事情能让人想明白，不是因为有人给你大桶大桶灌大道理，那多半是听不进去的，而是像刘震云这样，唠唠叨叨地说着细碎的故事，不经意的一句话戳你一下心坎，顺着刀尖流到心里去，你摸一下血，嗯，甜的。

刚开始的时候（我是听的）有点无法继续的感觉，交代了很多人，人与人之间的关系参照点一直在变，所以感觉有点乱，但后来就越来越清楚，也越来越被吸引。作者的叙述看似平铺直叙，语言平实无华，绕来绕去地充满了乡土气，但这正合乎故事的人物和内容，而且还意味深长，发人深思。对于人的心理活动的描述很到位，性格的表现也很真实 - 真的就是这样啊！人与人，其实就是一个“说不说得上话”，很现实，很朴素，但这是真理。本人觉得有个遗憾，作者对故事的年代背景没有做任何交代，当然读者从故事的内容会有所感觉也可以猜出来，但我觉得如果有交代的话可以让读者可以更快的对书中的人物和内容有更深入和全面的认知。

本来觉得刘震云应该还是不错的作家，起码改编的电影有点意思，真人秀看着人也还行。没想到书对我来讲这么普通，相比下比他好的中国作家似乎不要太多诶。
这本书往大了说体现中国土地人文历史长河，往小了说就是农村的家长里短，那一辈中国作家风格典型，反正我是不爱看的。嚼着都是些没营养的芝麻事，说一个连一串人，也算描写地各有风格都是不同的际遇，但是也没觉得于读者有什么价值，也不能学韩剧，只要把故事写到生命结束的闭环就算提升意义的。
书名也是标题党，大约就是指那些内向的人在某些被一句话点爆压抑许久的自我的时刻。或者人与人之间最重要的还是能说到一处，互相懂，否则一万句都是多余。除了故事设置，编排，我其实也很不喜欢书里很多处事方式，说到底就是窒息的熟人社会、压抑的人性、不懂得互相尊重的关系。
所以这就是一本可以快速翻完或者直接错过的2⃣️分书🤪

Interesting to see how rating get much lower for translated version/non-China readers. Historical backgrounds are not introduced but obvious enough for readers who know modern Chinese history. A story also picks its readers.

小说登场人物之多，似乎不是这样篇幅所能容纳的，然而每一个都那么鲜活，让人难以忘记。
我有种错觉，觉得里面每个人都有可能成为主角，而小说的主角们也并不因为有什么不同之处才成为主角，只不过因为这个小说选择以他们的故事做主线而已。
我喜欢上半部，人物，情节，都恰到好处，让人叹为观止。对于下半部，我有点失望，感觉人物，情节，都略逊上半部的精彩。而且还有一点，我本以为老詹是一个钥匙般的存在，他一辈子坚定执着的传教“信了主，就知道自己是谁，从哪儿来，到哪儿去”，他精心描画的大教堂的图纸，他在图纸背后写的“恶魔的私语”，这些，让吴莫西的心里，似开了一扇窗。为了这扇窗，他决定用竹篾扎起一座教堂。我看到这里眼前一亮，认定这是整部书的关键，说不定会揭示所有问题的答案，所以很期待下半部继续挖掘下去，然而期待落空，只好自我安慰也许这正是作者想说的，现实就是，根本没有什么答案。
上半部的主角杨百顺/杨摩西/吴摩西/罗长礼，我的心一直紧紧随着他在走，以至于上半部结束时，知道无法再紧随他走他接下来的人生时，有种空落落的感觉。而下半部的主角牛爱国，却没有让我产生这种感觉。
虽说整体构造非常巧妙，跨越年代的呼应，让人感慨，但我个人感受是，宁愿不要这个巧妙的呼应，宁愿平铺直叙的把吴摩西的一生，其后代以及巧玲和牛爱国的故事，老老实实地按时间顺序讲下来，并以老詹的启示和影响为灵魂贯穿始终。这样，或许我能找到我想找的答案。

奇书！前半部鸡零狗碎锅碗瓢盆一地鸡毛，看得人云里雾里索然无味，直到出走的火车上吴摩西自改名姓成罗长礼才有了些回味的空间。后半部仍然人物庞杂关系错综，但慢慢现实和历史就连点成了线，“实”和“虚”就有了几十年开外的遥相呼应，直至最后在看似就要揭开那顶一万句的一句之时不断转换不断发展，在山穷水尽时豁然开朗却又戛然而止，回望这几辈人的盘根错节，回味无穷。生活的真实即便如是，不是每个谜底都能解开，一件事说着说着就连上了另一件串出了别一件，人与人可以因一句结怨也可以因一句结缘。缘份错位，一万句也顶不了一句；遇对了人，一句就能顶一万句。人活一世，到头来还是求一份说得着。

"One Sentence Is Worth 10,000 Sentences", first published in China in 2009. 我觉得这不是一本很容易看下去的书。书里的经典句式“某人这么想不是因为…也不是因为…而是因为…”，看多了还觉得有点烦。但妙就妙在，看到最后几章的时候，突然生出了很多不舍。连对这个看烦了的叙事结构，也开始能体会到个中意蕴了。
书的一大半内容给我的最强烈的感受是“贫瘠”，物质匮乏，精神无依。但是谁知道呢，一个人就能活成一本沉甸甸的书。说得着的时候，让人欲罢不能。说不着的时候，好像不识字。当吴摩西在下半部又出现了时候，我竟然像是看到一个失联很久的旧识，生出很多惊喜和牵挂。可能我终于开始觉得跟这本书“说得着”了吧。
书中出现了繁星般众多的人物，有浓厚时代风格的人名，大多看完就忘了。不过有些形象和故事，应该很难忘记。比如意大利神父，吴摩西着迷了一辈子的教堂设计图，曹青娥临死对8年前没理会吴摩西后人的急切和抱憾，牛爱国跟章楚红从露水情怀到彼此认定。以及那么多说得着，说不着，本来说不着后来说着了，或者本来说得着后来掰了。在最后，牛爱国确定自己对章楚红的心意的时候，我几乎能感受到他灰色人生里突然出现的一抹亮色。
看完整本书恍惚觉得自己匆匆走过了几段人生。
说到人名，这本书对时间模糊化处理，不过人名暗示了时代的变迁，从“龙”，“狗”到“爱国”，再到“曼玉”，”楚红”，不提年份却立刻知道他们生活的时代背景。聪明的作者让人神清气爽。
书的一大半内容给我的最强烈的感受是“贫瘠”，物质匮乏，精神无依。但是谁知道呢，一个人就能活成一本沉甸甸的书。说得着的时候，让人欲罢不能。说不着的时候，好像不识字。当吴摩西在下半部又出现了时候，我竟然像是看到一个失联很久的旧识，生出很多惊喜和牵挂。可能我终于开始觉得跟这本书“说得着”了吧。

This book is a torture to readers who cannot remember character names. This book is full of characters. Each character probably takes one to two pages and a new one is introduced. I understand the intent behind this but I couldn't appreciate the method. There's very little plot. It's all about relationships between different characters.

平实的故事和叙述，说着两个人生的道理：事儿不是表面的事儿，背后拐着几道弯，最后一件事儿就变成了另一件事儿；过日子终究是要找一个说的来的，能说的来再苦的日子也透着乐。这倒是很符合社会心理学，人的幸福是由对家人和朋友的信任决定。说的来就会吐露心声，能吐露心声自然也是信任的。
