This books is great and I highly recommended if you want to jump start your content creation.

Not only the content is great but she also link to some interesting post around the website, it has a lot of data and great examples.

I took a start because the formatting of the book was messed up. Hard to read on iphone books app and Gumroad reading app is not the best to read either. I didn't want to use the kindle paperwhite because it has a lot of charts and is usually easier to zoom in on my phone.

・Actionable: The advice is practical because it comes from someone who does online marketing for a living, and then applied those lessons to her own personal writing. The examples and screenshots are drawn from her own experiences, down to the nitty-gritty detail of the types of queries and searches she conducts before writing her own articles. I knew what to do after reading each chapter. The exercises help reinforce concepts.

・Insightful: I learned about tools I never knew heading into the reading, from Keywords Everywhere and Ahrefs (for SEO) to SimilarWeb and Subreddit research aides. She lists the tools in a directory at the end, grouped by usage, from design tools like Unsplash for stock photos, to research tools like SparkToro, SimilarWeb, HotJar, or CrazyEgg. You can't make this stuff up with how many tools she has compiled and explained.

・Succinct: There isn't small talk. The amount of noise is near zero. Everything reads like a Hacker News article on how to get up and running with SEO, research, distribution, and monetization.

・Visual: Screenshots of actual research stats get the point across with minimal hand-waving. I especially like the screenshots of tools and competitors to elucidate how she conducts research, and how to pick out signal from the noise.

If I had to point out one negative, it would be the amount of terminology without a glossary of terms. She explains most key points like her CODES system, but some marketing terminology and acronyms go unexplained, such as ROI or SERP. But most unknown terms are a single Google search away, so it isn't a dealbreaker!

Steph gives away so much for free in her book. And she links to many interesting sources to dive deeper into marketing and content creation.

What I most like about this book is that it's part of a package with live events and free updates.
It's a bit more expensive than a regular book but it's totally worth it.

Here's an interview with Steph, where she talks about the pricing among other things: https://coffeeandpens.com/steph-smith/
