As a book, this isn't bad. The writing is clear and concise. The writing is very engaging with the audience. It's not a difficult book to wade through.

But, to be perfectly honest, very quickly this book turned into a sales pitch for the author's software company and their product which helps people build private digital communities. There are a lot of case studies of the successes of some of her firms' clients. The case studies are quite impressive, and the folks are doing good work. But, the viewpoint is a bit 'skewed' in my humble opinion. The author comes from a suburban background in California. She has attended very prestigious colleges and worked, very successfully in the Technology Sector. So all of what she writes is from that particular perspective. I don't know if the ideas in her book are points which would be applicable or attainable for folks living in rural or urban areas. She also makes the assumption that everyone has access to the internet or to computers, so in that way, she is showing quite a bit of naivety.

However, if you should look deeper than the sales pitch, she does make some very good points. Many people spend way too much time and put way too much importance on social media. The search for 'likes' and 'clicks' can become far too consuming of our time which could be spent in much better pursuits, like expanding our own experiences or just meeting and spending time with other people. The truly ironic part is the contradiction in her argument: "we're spending too much time on computers or our phones on social media, so let's use our computers and phone to create a Digital Community unique to our interest." Huh? I do agree that commercialism has gone rampant in our society and many have lost a lot of chances for truly inspirational moments and experiences in the pursuit of 'more stuff' or wanting to be like this person or that person they've seen on the internet. But there are also more and more people, after the Pandemic, who ARE realizing this and changing their priorities and down-sizing and uncluttering.

As a self-help book, I found that "Purpose: Design a Community & Change Your Life" doesn't really work. If you want to know how to build a community using the author's company, it's great. You couldn't want a better Manual for their service. I'm not saying it's a waste of time, because it isn't, but I just want you to go into reading the book fully aware of what you're opening up.

A BOOK REVIEW OF PURPOSE: DESIGN A COMMUNITY AND CHANGE YOUR LIFE –A STEP-BY-STEP GUIDE TO FINDING YOUR PURPOSE AND MAKING IT MATTER. - BY GINA BIANACHINI

The book purpose: Design a Community and Change your life by Gina Bianchini, is a thought-provoking and action driven guide for people who want to discover their purpose on earth and mark massive impact while leveraging the power of community. Gina provides us with a concrete-step-by-step path to capturing our purpose and translating it into an amazing impact. It shows you a proven method to discovering your purpose and putting it in action—all with the help of a special community you create, while using the best technology has to offer.
The genres of the book are non-fiction, self-help, marketing and business. The book has a high level of organization, proofreading and quality of being well-thought-out with careful execution that one would expect from any standard publication, the tone and writing style of the book is clear, concise, strong and very engaging with the audience making it feels like you’re listening to an audio motivational piece with easy to digest information.
For books of this genre, purpose having 216 pages is short and very easy to follow as it provides you with activities to help you find your true purpose and write your own unique future story. At the beginning of this book, the author shares a story about her upbringing which was just enough to samples real life experiences. These experiences made the book very real, interesting and promising for young minds who wants to truly and genuinely make impact in their careers, workplace and the world at large. The years of experience of the author and results produced so far is enough to make you believe in her as a coach or mentor who can walk you through the steps of finding your purpose without any judgement, putting it to action and making an impact on the world. Gina did not only share the steps of how to reach your purpose, but provided a book that acts as a workbook or guide for building your own purpose and monitoring/tracking your progress.
Personally as a computer science recent graduate, this book has helped me reshaped my career path/plans through its guide and has given me an insight to what the future holds for people with clear intension, vision and those who have discovered their purpose and are taking action towards making an impact in the world. The book has given me a new perspective of thinking and made me believe that success is within my grasp even as a fresh graduate. This is one of the best books I have ever read and I’m grateful to God that it came at the right time, I have been thinking about how to become an exceptional character in the world of ever-evolving technology and make impact whilst being financially independent to be able to purchase the things I would need to achieve this goal and also help other people in life.
I give Purpose: Design a Community and Change Your Life – A Step-by-Step Guide To Finding Your Purpose and Making It Matter a 4.8 out of 5 because it has done a great job though it is centered on technology and would have been more interesting if the author had shared more insight on how to build a community using different fields too. If you are a tech enthusiast, or a young graduate, or a professional who wants to make impact or someone who already know their purpose but doesn’t know how to make it come to reality, or someone who is already making impact and wants to extend it to reach more people, this book is the best tool (guide or workbook) for you to achieve that goal because it does not just help you discover your purpose, it guides you and shows you what you can do where you are currently to start making impact through building a community. Don’t know how to build a community? Purpose provides you with a proven framework to build a community so valuable you can charge for it and so well-designed it essentially runs itself. This framework has yielded results which is evident in the growth of the author’s company “Mighty”.
I recommend this book to everyone out there, especially young people who want to make impact in the world while being financially buoyant, independent and leveraging the power of community and technology. I also strongly recommend the book to tech enthusiast who wants to become more creative, innovative and solve pressing problems in the society, you need to see the magic of tech in this book and how the now existing solutions and tech big companies started. Go grab your copy.

"Purpose" is a book that constructively illustrates methods for unlocking your full potential.

The book is about finding one's purpose with thoroughly broken-down measures that take you to the beginning of your journey. It covers everything from identifying one's purpose to cultivating the path and asking the necessary questions, such as: (a) What stands out to you about your upbringing and background? (b) What have been the pivotal experiences in your life?

From a young boy observant of his surroundings, family, and community, which influenced and molded his life. Growing up with his family intentionally and actively making a difference. His grandparents moved to Cupertino with his father and aunt in 1950 to open a nursery to serve the surrounding orchardists, just as the area was starting to also attract the first semiconductor companies and defense contractors. With the purpose of building up their new community to become a place of shared joy for all. His grandfather founded the Cupertino Lion's Club, his grandmother became a core member of the women's social and service club. His father, a high school history teacher, a varsity wrestling team coach, and part of a band. Sadly, his father passed at the age of 38, and he was 11 years old when confronted with the tragedy, but also when community mattered the most, the love and support his family received.

After he got his MBA, in the second year of his program at Stanford's Graduate School of Business, a venture capitalist he had gotten to know asked him to join to build a new software startup. At the age of 28, he was a newly minted technology entrepreneur.

Mark Andreessen, the man who nudged the author to his purpose. They joined forces and launched the company Ning.

The author's inspirational concept "morning pages" from Julia Cameron of the Artist's Way. Purpose 30, a morning ritual guided by 6 questions that will be a guide to writing one's future story, also evaluating how to make that a reality. Unlocking your potential. (a) What are 3 things you are able to do in the future that you are not able to do today? (b) What are 3 things you have accomplished? (c) What are 3 things you have taken a stand for? (d) What has changed in your world for the better? (e) Who are the people you have brought together? (f) What are 3 things they are able to do in the future that they aren't able to do today?

Audra Wolford, when her son was diagnosed with brain cancer, used her skills in the kitchen to complement and help him thrive. As she met other moms whose children were undergoing chemotherapy and surgeries, she picked up on a need for more culinary, nutrition, and integrative medicine education. She and her husband, Justin Wolford, started the MaxLove project to address that need and bring those parents together in a community. Today, it serves thousands of families across the United States with evidence-based information, wellness packages, cooking classes, and hospital "Thrive parties". Unlock the full potential of others.

Building a community - from one digital culture to millions. Focus and clarity. Be explicit about who your digital community is for, what they will get out of it, and what they are going to do together to achieve the promised results.

I enjoyed the book mainly because the author speaks about his life experiences, referencing quite a few that are evidently true. The ideas given here are of assistance with practical procedures in place and answered quite a few questions of my own, offering me the right questions I need to progress on my journey.

This would be a good read for people who are currently in search of their purpose, people who are contemplating their next step in life, and anyone who is willing to grow in their venture.

Purpose by Gina Bianchini is a lovely compendium of life stories, advice and practical hints designed to help you find your own purpose and change your own life story by incorporating the power of digitalization in your surrounding community.

The author is taking us through a complex journey of three crucial activities: search & finding, settling and sharing which promises a glorious ending: the potential fulfillment of The Big Purpose. The search & finding represent the quest to find this purpose which comes out as the result of a sustained and disciplined effort – waking up every morning for 30 days and filling in the template of your Future Story, guided by 6 very specific questions. Being consistent and showing up is the main point here which is guaranteed to become your North Star in terms of purpose and commitment. The settling represents making the effort of analyzing and defining a community where your main purpose is actionable through its members’ interest & social networking power. The sharing means having the courage of taking the lead while incorporating all the digital gadgets to create meaning and encourage continuous action! The community becomes therefore stronger and stronger and pays it forward by creating new leaders!

I enjoyed reading this book for several reasons. This almanac of Future Stories & their transposal into action can be a great encouragement to put into practice the Visualization technique and work on your own Future Story, therefore have the actual courage to imagine something palpable for yourself in the near future. I consider that every major change stands particularly in the power of being disciplined and following small but strict habits. Giving up the majority of the useless social media apps also represents a correct and followable advice. Being more select in choosing the community designed to support our quests is also a healthy approach to life that is extremely helpful in designing the social interactions which are supposed to give us positive fuel for our endeavors! The tone in the book is of encouragement combined with authority and urge to put into practice! + Practical Advice on how to move forward based on the author's success story!

The only trouble that I found with the author’s indications is the fact that this book is addressed in particular to everybody who is willing and has the drive to take the stand. Though usually this is a good thing, I found it difficult to relate to the debunking of the reasons the author is mentioning in the book which from my point are very valid points for several personalities to make the choice to rather act or follow along than host. I strongly consider everyone has a purpose (found or still waiting to be found) in this life and not everybody is designed to become a leader!

All in all, I rate this book with 4 out of 5 stars and I strongly recommend it to anyone who feels lost or insecure and needs simple & correct guiding in order to find order & purpose in their own existence.

Purpose: Design a Community & Change Your Life
Author Gina Bianchini

This book will teach you how to build your community and why that will change your life. The author draws from her background, building in-person and online digital communities, to teach her readers the steps to successfully find a "Big Purpose" designed to grow in the right communities we create for ourselves. The book's part 1 outlines finding your purpose and draws from her experiences growing up in Silicon Valley as a child and how losing her father in an unexpected accident made her realize how the communities he built around her family influenced her for the better. Next, she tells about her career journey after the internet and social networking began and how she successfully grew companies like Ning Networking and Mighty. Part 2 of the book outlines the steps required to design your intentional community and includes visuals and brilliant examples from her real-life experiences with community builders.

The book is straightforward with step-by-step rituals she calls the "Purpose 30" challenge to help you find your true purpose and write your future story. She is also optimistic that we can change the current monocultural climate in some online social media communities. She offers an alternate optimism on building community online in more diverse ways that eliminate our attention on monocultural trends. Finally, she shares views on the future if we all find our intended purpose and follow the steps to build thriving communities. The community design steps are researched approaches, and she offers up the companies, testimonials, and research to back up how the steps have worked for others who try them.

Though well-referenced, somebody reading this book could view some of the content as less than original and only a compilation of others' knowledge through diagrams and step-by-step lists.

I am giving this book 4 out of 5 stars because I felt moved by the book's purpose and her future story about how the world could be as we all build intentional communities. It was sometimes less than quality writing but was firm in personal stories and heartfelt intent. By the end of the book, I could see the vision of what she hopes we can all create. Of course, an audience of people will find this helpful and put her steps into practice. But, most likely, it will be people who are less than happy with their current community interactions and hope to build better ones.

I would give this book to my friends who feel like they interact with others less online or even in person than they would like. In addition, I recommend this book to young college students hoping to create thriving social communities in their creative and business ventures.

From my understanding "Purpose: Design a Community & Change Your Life..." by Gina Bianchini was her debut book marketing her Community Design Masterclass. Since it's her first book, I knew nothing about Bianchini before picking this one up and therefor had no preconceived biases.

Although the book was clearly a marketing tool for her product, Bianchini shared a lot of insight and step-by-step guides on how to build community and make your community last. I think she shared a lot more than she had to in order to sell the product, which ultimately made me trust her model.

The book was written like a workbook almost in that she would share a point, and then give you a prompt so you could follow along. If you followed all the prompts in the book, you'd be able to fully understand how communities are built and be ready to build your own by the end of this book.

I am a firm believer in people needing connection and community which is why I was drawn to this book. Although I have a great community around me now, this gave me tips and suggestions on how to build my own community, or be a host for others to connect and become a part of my community.

I liked some of the thought points, the assistance with writing my own purpose statement and a great reminder of the impact hosts and communities can have on the world.

I would recommend this book to anyone who is interested in being a host of a community, someone who is looking for their community that best fits them, and anyone who just wants to be the best member of their community they can. It's thoughtful, well written, easy to follow, and not too long.

Some pieces that stuck out to me while reading:
"Community is an amazing thing. It can be a source of great joy and curiosity in normal times and, in the darkest moments of grief, the most comforting"

"You can't just write it [your purpose] down on a Post-it note and hope it manifests itself into existence."

"A true community is where connections are made, relationships are built, quests are undertaken, challenges are overcome, opportunities are seized and people are transformed."

Purpose by Gina Bianchi talks about the importance of finding your own purpose through close knit communities. The author shares her real-life examples to help the readers to get an accurate view of what’s their to learn from your community when you build one. Part 1 of the book talks about her childhood experiences, how staying in a close-knit community shaped up her life, fun experiences in Silicon Valley, birth of Apple Computer and how the unexpected passing of her father affected her life. It also talks about how she grew using social networks and build successful companies like Ning Networking and Mighty. Part 2 talks about the plan and how to exactly build your community and find your purpose through examples of her success and work.
This book gives out a complete step-by-step guide on how to find your purpose under the name “Purpose 30”. The author is very optimistic and tried to share the optimism with her readers. Every tip she mentions in the book is research based and has her real-life testimonials to back her up.
Anybody reading this book will be instantly motivated by its engaging writing style. It can change the point of view of some people on social networking as well and how building communities through technology doesn’t necessarily have to be a difficult or daunting task. I believe that if we implement the ideas and tips mentioned in the book, then we will be able to gain a little bit more control over our life and set our path straight.
sometimes I felt like it is just a sales pitch book because the first few chapters were just about the author explaining her business and promoting it. But I guess her explaining her business was necessary for us to understand how she got there and why should we listen to her.
I would recommend this book to the people in the technological world and also young readers who are looking to find a purpose in life but don’t know where to start.

The literary world is teeming with books on the topic of "purpose," covering various aspects such as life purpose, purpose-driven living, and finding one's purpose. However, what sets this particular book apart is its focus not only on the transformative journey of self-discovery when one uncovers their life purpose, but also on the necessary steps and actions to transcend mere discovery. So, what is the author aiming to convey precisely?

Gina guides her readers towards the creation of communities, but not just any community. This book introduces the concept of a digital community, which may be relatively new to many individuals. Nevertheless, its clear steps and inherent simplicity make it an achievable endeavor. Furthermore, it holds significant value for both present and future generations. The future we aspire to visualize and attain is, in fact, the very present we strive to construct. The brilliance of this concept lies in its accessibility to everyday people. A digital community transcends borders, skills, abilities, ages, and economic or social status. For instance, even someone with a simple hobby like creating get-well-soon cards can leave a lasting legacy not only for their family and neighbors but for the entire world. How is this possible?

By purchasing this book, you can stay ahead of the curve, as the author's concepts are here to stay. Despite being a concise read, its impact is undoubtedly profound. Personally, I have been inspired and wholeheartedly recommend this book to those who aspire to transcend a purpose-driven life. Our world needs digital communities, and Gina offers an additional bonus: a glossary of new terminologies for anyone interested in expanding their knowledge and embracing these concepts today.

First and foremost, I rated this book a 3 out of 5 because I found the first few chapters of the book had some jarring way of getting me to see the points Gina is trying to make. From brief stories about her upbringing then a life-changing event that made her realize that a community was important. Comparisons and contrasts between social media platforms and how beneficial / toxic they can become. Which led to finding your ‘Purpose’, now if you haven’t read Atomic Habits, or any popular self-help book, Gina just reiterates what those books have explained but sprinkled a little bit of how she used it in her company. I’m not saying it’s a bad thing, but to lightly touch on ‘Finding Your Purpose’, habit forming (not mentioned) into an aimless shot at community outweighs self-worth?
Secondly, seeing that I read through her Purpose 30 (a.k.a. Morning Pages) and examples, I can see how her version of it can lead to finding one’s purpose. But in reality, I feel that she could have condensed and used better examples to elaborate her point of view. Now reading towards the middle of the book, I feel that it’s a slow reinforcing sale’s pitch for “Mighty” to where I didn’t know what the company was and had to put the book down and see what it was about. Upon review of the company page, I can see why she’s writing the way she’s writing. A pseudo bias for the company, but at the same time sharing what has worked for her to get where she is.
There are some good nuggets of information in this book when you read through the soft ads, but in a nutshell, it can be summarized by: Find your Purpose, Hero’s Journey, and Grow a Community (and possibly make a profit out of it whether it be monetary, networking, knowledge sharing.)
As a regular reader I rate this book a 3 out of 5.

Purpose: Design a Community and Change Your Life By Gina Bianchini

Connect people around you

The author has put in a lot of effort in this book. She has really tried to help people find ways to connect with one another, take lead and become the hero to bring people together. This is a great guide on how to start your journey as an influencer and/or event organizer. This can actually help people with loneliness and abandonment issues.

I especially liked the little activities you can include in your routine like writing your 5 years from now story and what would you like to see in this world.

Some of my favorite quotes from this book are: “ Purpose is a practice and impact is the reward”, “ build a community to support and amplify your purpose.”

At first it felt like a marketing book for tech. But later I could sense that the author is trying to describe how to use toxic social media to benefit yourself and the people around you without going insane. Halfway through the book it felt like a self-help book. One of the great messages of this book is that your purpose won’t be as successful without a community and it’s very well explained using the example from the movies like Harry Potter and Lord of the Rings. Harry wouldn’t have been able to achieve everything he did if he didn’t have the support of this friends and the teachers. You can start finding and building community from the people closest to you like your friends, family and colleagues. Author has provided lot of pointers, questions, challenges, hardships, experiences, journals etc for people to get started on this journey of finding a purpose. I will definitely give this book 5 out of 5.

In Purpose, Gina Bianchini explored how to take your purpose and use it for the community benefit and have an everlasting impact on the people around you. She shared how Martinus Evans was called fat by his doctor and he instead changed his life around and is not a marathon runner. Nick Jonas, Sarah Lucas, Juliet be Baubigny has used their struggled with type 1 diabetes and they have built a community helping others. She included key examples on how others found their purpose. In the book, she shared how she helped launch social media network, Ning. This means peace in Chinese. This allowed users to create their own entire social media network not just a profile. She is also the founder of Mighty, and her company helps others to discover their purpose and to how we can touch our community.

One of my favorite chapters discussed digital communities and how important focus and clarity is when designing a community. She explained the three key features to create a digital community. You must first have an idea to bring people together in a sense of community and purpose. The next step is inviting people to join the community. The next challenge is introducing them to one another and having an atmosphere where they can all interaction.

I would recommend this helpful book to anyone who is wanting to discover their purpose and in turn also to use their purpose for the greater of their community. I thought this book was a little different in the way it approached the topic of purpose. She chose to help reader understand how to create and design a community and use your greater purpose to help and connect with others. I also enjoyed the chapter on quests and having activities to connect members together and explore different activities.

Purpose is a very driven and helpful book. It contains many clear and concise lists of steps to getting your thoughts and actions into order. I am not generous on my ratings but definitely give this book a high 4 out of 5 rating as it is a good read; offering many clear strategies and would make a good addition to a course in management and self discovery. The books starts with a brief history of by the author of her beginnings and how she has associated community and the digital world. She was at the forefront of the development of our world of social media but gratefully realizes the usefulness of media but also the time consumption and the possible stifling of creativity of the individual. Spending time on social media can ,offer community yet many lose their focus on their purpose for the future.
Gina’s use of psychological and anthropological theories in an easy to follow makes this an easy read yet gets to the heart of a human need for community which is a key and much needed topic as we are still feeling the effects of the pandemic. Asking onself the questions throughout the text is a great way of offering self reflection. As Gina suggests for a time move away from technology and use paper and pen to sort out your thoughts. She doesnt suggest abandoning technology but rather in a sense to control it and then use it to build your community and future. Technology is here to stay and when used wisely opens many horizons.

Interesting

An excellent book if you are looking to become the host of a community- especially digitally. It is well written with interesting and thought provoking material to reveal what you want from a community, and develop from there.

However, it is definitely telling that this is the authors area of work, as there are many references to Mighty, their business, and whilst their expertise in this area through years of working in the sector shines through and is undeniable a huge advantage, this does in some ways read as a plug for the business. Hearing someone's background is incredibly interesting, being reminded every few pages of this business is unfortunately less so.

There is a lot of very useful in this book, from a concept similar to morning pages but useful in identifying purpose, to how to form interesting, engaging and relevant questions- also very usable in everyday conversations.

Overall a good read, but only if you want to start a community. If you are just looking for your individual purpose for self use, then this is not for you. Whilst the title states finding your purpose, the more accurate title would be discovering the theme/topic of a community you wish to set up, and how to implement this into growing and hosting a community. There isn't really much self-work in this book.

I picked up this book because of the title and the description.
It's everyone's question, what's the purpose of my/our Life?
The author says " clear intention for my time, talents, energy, and focus was it wasn’t about a single thing" is the most important to achieve our purpose in our life.
The purpose of 30 is a wonderful way of planning and identifying to execute our purpose in life. Multiple real-life examples are taken into consideration to explain the topic.
Once we identify our purpose, the author suggests how to take it to a higher level by mentioning multiple questions to be asked and answered by ourselves.
The suggestion of 10 questions to explore our purpose is excellent.
The author suggests we note down all the positive and negative points of our inner circle of our people during execution.
"What’s one thing that makes you feel truly alive?"
This is the one I love the most. That's exactly the purpose of life.
The first few chapters are about social media and her tech company. Although my view on the purpose of life is different, I have learned from this book.
When I think about myself and my purpose in life, I could connect easily in which I am reaching English to underprivileged children in my community.

Commonly, we go around and around looking for the meaning of happiness pursuing a purpose in our life that becomes the meaning of it.

Adversities are managed by each person in many different ways. It is true that for some people it can be a struggling path, while for others it becomes "an opportunity to rebuild their purpose”. The author emphasizes that it’s not about being famous or a multimillionaire, but rather about finding the inner power that leads us to the path where we want to be. Taking just one step forward in the right direction can make a big difference. It’s important to remember that everyone’s journey is different and unique, and there is no one-size-fits-all approach to finding purpose and meaning in life.

It is important to build habits that are sustained by plans that lead us to achieve objectives. There are effective methods to help us with this planning, especially for those who usually live under the concept of “procrastination”. This book can become an excellent guide and even a mentoring manual for both personal and financial improvement.

¡Great book!

I found "Purpose," the book, to be quite disappointing. Despite its promising title, I struggled to discern any meaningful purpose in completing it. I diligently read through approximately 70% of the book, but it failed to captivate me in any way.

The author repeatedly touched upon a few key concepts, such as community building, digital communities, and finding one's purpose. However, I struggled to see how these concepts related to one another or formed a cohesive narrative. It felt as though I was encountering random pieces of advice without a clear connection or flow between them. This lack of continuity left me feeling bored and disinterested.

Furthermore, the content itself proved to be less helpful than anticipated. Rather than offering profound insights, it felt like a collection of scattered wisdom and advice. In my opinion, the material could have been condensed into a blog post, rendering the numerous chapters unnecessary.

To top it off, I found the language and writing skills employed in the book to be less than professional. It was evident that this was the author's first foray into writing a book, which detracted from the overall reading experience.

Gina Bianchini’s Purpose- Design a Community & Change Your Life- A Step-by-step Guide to Finding your Purpose and Making it Matter is a well-written and detailed book describing an outline for how to find your purpose and act on it. Bianchini uses headers and graphic design throughout each chapter to highlight the most important parts and help break up the text so it isn’t just huge paragraphs, which I appreciate. Each step of the process is clearly written. The chapters are not too long and I love the many examples throughout the book to help us know how to complete each step. I believe the target audience is anybody who hasn’t found their purpose(s) or what to do with it. While I originally thought I was younger than the target audience and that I wouldn’t be able to participate until much later in my life, I was pleasantly surprised that I could start the process now. Throughout the whole book, Bianchini is positive and transparent about the struggles you may face in this process and how to overcome them. She always uses encouraging language and optimism to push the reader to have big goals.

I was initially drawn to this book because I have been interested in discovering my purpose, and the title was intriguing. In the preface, Gina Bianchini perfectly describes the book: "This is a book about finding your purpose and making it matter in modern life." It offers guidance on how to pinpoint one's purpose then encouraging others to find meaning in it through community building. I think the book is very specific to those hoping to create a virtual or physical community, and could be used as a manual to achieve results. As such, I did not find it very applicable to my own search for purpose, however there were some important takeaways that I highlighted throughout.

I liked that Bianchini explained how people are drawn to communities, and the importance of knowing your members. She seemed to know her readers in the same way, calling out perfectionists and introverts (guilty!) in places where her guidance may be seen as a challenge. Overall, this was an easily digestible guide. Although I was not the ideal audience, I still took away some good tidbits.

Purpose by Gina Bianchini offers a step-by-step guide to find a purpose and translating it into action through the power of community and new approaches to technology. She has a popular Community Design Masterclass that has helped thousands of people crystalize their purpose and deliver impact-one community at a time. I like the fact that this guide gives new ways to create a practice around our own purpose, craft our future story and use modern tools to make it matter in modern life. However, the best part for me is that if anyone does not have a purpose yet, this book helps you to find one. This book stresses the idea of having a community of people that you are a part of. It highlights the importance of both, the experience and the benefits that come to people who are part of a group. This also gives a person a sense of purpose, which we all know is essential to living a good life. I highly recommend it.

First-time author and CEO of Mighty Networks, Gina Bianchini, combines her expertise in developing social networks with a passion for community building to give a step-by-step guide to identifying your passion projects and bringing your future story to life. Meant to be used over an extended timeline -the first step is a 30-day process- Bianchini’s book, Purpose:
Design a Community & Change Your Life emphasizes the importance of connectivity and community when pursuing a purposeful life helping readers to take the next steps toward building an active, lucrative community. The strategies laid out are easy to follow and backed by research, with well-known individuals such as Adriene Mishler (of Yoga with Adriene) and Sadie Robertson-Huff finding success in Bianchini’s methods and platform. This book is a valuable tool to any individual or company hoping to broaden their audiences, providing readers with an individualized roadmap to success.

Contrary to the excessive amounts of cheesy self-help books that are on the market today, Gina Bianchini's "Purpose..." feels empowering and impactful. Through the use of personal stories rooted in community and the effects of technology, Bianchini helps readers find their purpose by embracing their uniqueness. Within this book, you'll find a step-by-step guide to orient yourself in a positive mindset, set intentions for your future, and make your purpose matter within society. Bianchini provides readers with the practices and habits they'll need to begin and sustain their purposeful journeys. Seeing as Bianchini brands herself as a "community platform entrepreneur", I was ready to write this book off. But, the author does an amazing job of including social science reasoning, providing questions that guide your thinking, including templates/diagrams, and creating an overall read that is digestible and transformative.

This book is good for anyone who has a purpose and wants to turn it into more. This didn’t interest me at first, but reading about all the ways you could turn purpose into so much more. She gives you questions that you should consider whenever you try to turn your purpose into much more things. Just those questions she lists can help you get to where you want to be and go further. I don’t have much interest in becoming a host like the book talked about, but this book is great for anyone who wants to become one. I did enjoy how the author wrote this book and explained everything so it didn’t seem confusing, I could understand everything perfectly fine! Most authors don't normally go into the details as this author did, I enjoy it when authors go into more detail as this one did. This possible won’t be a favorite of mine, but I recommend this to anyone who wants to turn their purpose into more.

This book describes how we are to focus on a goal, (author uses purpose) to organize your future. To organize toward your goal one must build a community with similar wants for the future. Meeting with these people and specifically ambassadors who will work side by side with your ideals toward your future goal.

The author focuses mostly on media groups to build your future goal. She reveals how community online is an easy way of connecting with others more rapidly and readily than trying to meet in a public forum. Keeping written ideas and having others read and comment is an example of how she wishes your purpose to come alive.

Concerns about this book are how it relates to only those who are familiar with social media leading me to score a 4 out of 5. I wish the author spoke more about purpose in everyday life, start smaller in size instead of large scale goals without small steps.

In addition to being very well written, it is a book that I recommend to everyone. You don't need to be going through a bad time to find in this reading a thousand questions and answers that can help you improve your life quality and also give you a light on how you can potentiate all those qualities that you have. It helped me a lot to realize how wrong I was with the term "Purpose" and it motivated me to go in to review and question many things in my life and I really found that motivation. In this book, the author shows us through her life and her experiences, how she found her purpose and also these experiences led her to be able to expose this guide.
I also found it very nice to see how she talks about very current and relevant topics such as social media, and that, from the author's point of view can be also a great tool not only to find your purpose, but to spread it and make it even more relevant. Highly recommended and a really helpful.
