Bitcoin: Everything divided by 21 million

Rate this book
"Imagine, everything there is and everything that will ever be, divided by 21 million.” This book opens with a difficult invitation that immediately makes us question the way we think and presents us with the challenge of bitcoin. In a brilliantly simple way, Knut Svanholm, embarks on an exploration of how we think, our relationship with time, money, and value, and how they are fundamentally intertwined in each of us. With Knut at the helm, we journey through economics, game theory, mathematics, alchemy, philosophy, and violence to ultimately reach the most critical societal paradigm shift in society, bitcoin. A new origo, a point zero. In his book, Svanholm, not only addresses how bitcoin works and our symbiotic relationship with it, he goes beyond that. With his masterful command of metaphors and examples he addresses the most pressing concerns of our inflation, climate change, perpetual debt, and wasteful consumption, and helps us understand how the shortsighted solutions offered by fiat money will inevitably fail. He takes the readers by the hand, and shows us how bitcoin is far from a threat; it is the answer. The beginning of a new civilized society. Everything Divided by 21 Million - An idea, turned meme, turned something more. This book will help you understand the underlying forces behind Hyperbitcoinization to unlock the potential of this wonderfully disruptive discovery. A true pilgrimage that walks us through these fascinating times and leads us to the reclamation of our soul, time, and spiritual existence, presenting an antidote to the current fiat nihilism. With his unique perspective and insights, Knut Svanholm finds a truly beautiful way of explaining this global shifting paradigm of unprecedented proportions in a book that is so simple and easy to read.
it will leave you hungry and wanting to read even more.

Knut has a very sophisticated understanding of Bitcoin. This book dives into the social impacts of the zero to one discovery that Bitcoin unlocked. The discovery that money is something that should exist as naturally and immutable as the laws of physics. Gravity follows a set of laws that cannot be changed by human intervention. The Bitcoin protocol functions the same way. A money that exists outside of human control, forever. That's the innovation.

Best Bitcoin Book!

I’ve read about a dozen bitcoin books, and Knut’s latest book is my favourite of all. He dives into the concept of hyperbitcoinization and the inevitability of it. It made me optimistic about the beautiful world we can create for our children and grandchildren.

I’ve read a few Bitcoin books and this may be my favorite. If you’re less interested in the “how” and more interested in the “why” of Bitcoin, this book is for you. Short but lively, addresses issues but offers hope, Everything divided by 21 million is 133 pages of essential orange pill education. 5/5!

If you need a good proselytizing of bitcoin, this is your book. But take into account that the author has his "own interpretation" (?) of history and economics. They may not agree with yours, and peer-reviewed interpretations of what happens in the economy.
But its not a boring read.

Started off pretty good. Covered basics bitcoin in first couple of chapters.

After that it’s just author ranting about govt, taxes, freedom etc..

Don’t agree with many of the assumptions of the author but interesting to read someone’s thoughts who is so certain of bitcoin taking over the world.

Obviously the book is way one sided and I bet there are better and certainly more neutral books on the topic.

2022 has totally blown this book to bits. Blockchain is great, Bitcoin has proved to be a Ponzi scheme. I hope the author hasn't lost his shirt.
