I read it when it first came out and loved it. It was one of the books that helped me realize that we're terrible at judging other people. I may give it another read. I just get skeptical because sometimes he uses bad studies to fit the point he's making

That's assuming everyone acts the same after an experience. It's also assuming everyone manages their emotions the same which is also clearly not the case. I highly recommend the book How Emotions are Made by Lisa Feldman Barrett

lol don't even get me started That's one of my favorite books. I had no clue who the authors were when I got it. But I don't know what happened. Either James was full of shit in that book or made a hard shift in his behavior after it was published
