Hardeep Singh Puri

Hardeep Singh Puri (born 15 February 1952) is an Indian politician, former diplomat who is the current Civil Aviation Minister of India and Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs in India. He is a 1974 batch Indian Foreign Service officer who served as the Permanent Representative of India to the United Nations from 2009 to 2013.He formerly served as President of the United Nations Security Council and as Chairman of United Nations Security Council Counter-Terrorism Committee, Vice President of International Peace Institute and Secretary-General of Independent Commission on Multilateralism in New York.
